I'm thinking a general consensus on Mock Draft boards has Florida taking Eric Gudbranson, but of course we know that pick is going to belong to the Rangers when they trade Wade Redden for both David Booth and Stephen Weiss.

Gudbranson I reckon and then they take a forward with #15.

.

thinking now with the loss of Horton, they would probably look at a forward.

If Connolly is all that he is supposed to be, he will be a ncie replacement for Horton.

With the defence that they have, the immediate need for a Gormley or a Gudbranson or a Fowler isn't as important as replacing the forward depth they lost with removing 2 guys yesterday.

My gut tells me they take a forward at #3 and #15

Connolly at #3

Skinner at #15 (if they don't move up)

FLA does have prospect depth on the blueline, but not one that is as physical as Gudbranson, who's also Captain material.

Remember, FLA has a new sheriff in town, Dale Tallon. When he took over as GM of the Hawks he traded 4 Dmen and 2 of their 3 top goalies.

After all the shifting and debating of the last couple of months, it settles back to the original evaluation that people had agreed upon for most of the year and they take Fowler. There will be plenty of forwards available at 15.

I personally would take Gormley, but I think Fowler is most likely.
