Ok, I thought you would say that but since you were nice enough to list him at a specific time for me, I wanted to make sure I offered the same for you. You can just sit back and enjoy a nice little chunk of mother club money. I will probably list him tomorrow to finish on Saturday.

I stomped a bot but lost two defenders to injuries. 2 and 3 weeks respectively. The match engine hates us defense trainers.

So I guess there was a bug that the left forward hasn't received any training since the new ME went into effect.

WHAT. THE. ****.

HT is really pissing me off now. And there won't be any compensation. Of course. That affected 4 of my forwards, including my Mongolian U-20 for one week, and one forward for 2 weeks...

Bull****.

I guess some forward trainer who was closely tracking skill-ups noticed that his player's playing in that slot had not happened yet.

Brought it to the HTs attention, they checked, and he was right. That spot wasn't receiving training.

I cannot believe the bull**** hacks that run that site sometimes. It boggles my mind that these things can happen.

Sorry to hear about the forward training. I was keeping an eye on the thread in the forum regarding that subject; there seem to be a lot of angry people who were effected.

On a separate note, have any of you guys noticed inflated star ratings for forwards in your youth games? Things have seemed a little fishy since the beginning of this season, and then this week I had a guy pull 7 stars at forward with weak scoring and no special event. Just doesn't really seem right given what ratings were like in the past.

No kidding. I have a guy who is inadequate scoring (but he has passable passing and solid winger) who pulled 7.5 or 8 stars last week at forward. I have had guys with weak scoring pulling 6 stars.

Wait, you mean I been training forwards and didn't notice? Crud. When you say left forward, you mean the guy on his left, not mine right? sorry that sounds stupid, I am just clarifying.

Crud, I had a guy lose however many weeks of training. I am just trying to get him to excellent to sell him - he was a fill in for an injury. Now I got to go more weeks trying to get him to pop.

Yeah I have a kid who has passable playmaking pulling 7 stars as a forward. Uhh, he has a cap of poor scoring. WTF.

The YA stars were changed to take more account of secondary skills, but the only real effect seems to have been on forwards. They are now pulling huge stars even with mediocre skills, just like you guys said.

As far as the left forward training thing, it's really appalling. It makes you wonder what will come next. It is so obvious they rushed out those big changes and didn't do nearly the testing they should have. I hope they have learned their lesson.

In happier news, I'm now a winger trainer. I've got 3 of my 4 main trainees, with 1 more to buy. Lots of guys on sale, if anyone is interested. Mostly defenders, but I do have a very nice combo winger up for sale too.

My wife did winger training for a while and that's a quick money maker. She could buy a 17yr old solid for 5k, spend 4 weeks and sell an excellent winger for 100k. it is quick advancement for sure. I will be training forward for a long time because I got one trainee I want to see go far and I got another in the YA who will be 17.0 when he advances with solid scoring, so I'll see how far I can take him.

Yep, it trains quickly, and you get pretty good money per pop. You just don't have that many trainees. You can actually get up close to 100k per week if you buy the right trainees and train over a longer period of time.

It will be a little rough on my team at first because I'm selling off a lot of talent and I'm not spending all the money yet, so I'll have a much weaker defense and not really be stronger anywhere else. But hopefully by the beginning of next season or so I'll have decent side attacks for my division. Once I spend the money I'll have a strong midfield and a fairly decent defense and central attack.

I can vouch for this. In a little over a season I can turn a 25K investment (solid winger) into a 1 million dollar profit (outstanding winger).

I'm trying my luck on the wingback side of things but this is going to prove to be a long process. With lower levels (exc D, inad W trained to solid W) I can make about a half a million in a season and a half. Not much to note but that extra half million is a rather nice upgrade on the roster or a stadium upgrade. Trying it with a couple formidable D guys and a couple brilliant D guys right now. I outright skipped outstanding because I had the money to do so, heh.

If you need a trainee, I have way too many wingers in my team and I can sell some of them

My keeper prospect is going to be ready to promote tonight. I'm probably putting him on the market as soon as he comes out of the academy. I could keep him since I need a new keeper, but being that I'm not a GK trainer that would be just flat out stupid, heh.

Just put my stud keeper prospect on sale (player ID: 286142416). He's too old for U-20 training or consideration but should be able to make a nice profit for whoever picks him up.

I also have a 21YO excellent D, solid W wingback on sale (player ID: 248590212) who's deadline is in a bit over 2 days from now.

So I found out today that a guy on my youth team has not only an excellent scoring cap, but also excellent winger cap as well. He's only weak winger and inad. scoring right now, and he's already 16 years/42 days, but still should be able to make a good profit if I can develop him right. He's already pulling 8 stars as a forward.

Dude, that kid is going to be an u20 stud if you can get those two maxed in a good amount of time.

Yeah I had already trained my primary to scoring, but now that I see this I changed secondary to winger. Any ideas what the best way to train him is? Right now I plan to play him as a forward towards the wing.

Lol... 35 goals so far for me, none against.

Division 6 is a joke.

I would probably say scoring primary wing attacks secondary. Forwards towards wing really don't get any kind of boost to their training with crossing as the secondary training. Once he's capped in scoring double train crossing... or just simply promote him since he should be of age. Hopefully he'd be up to excellent/passable by the point.

Seriously, how the hell did you find someone like that?

On another note, I've moved into a position where I'm comfortably the #2 in my series (3 points and +6 GD) and a serious threat to finish on top this season. HUGE game coming up next week will have a lot to say about that though.

I guess I just got lucky. One of my scouts found him a few weeks ago, and I just found out the winger portion today. Its just too bad he's not one of those young 15 year olds.

Won my latest match 4-0 at home with a normal AOW. Almost sold out despite my fans still being mad over all the Docs I had to get Gerel healthy. My next match should be winnable as well on the road.

I'm 4-0 in D.V right now, which I never saw coming. Put myself in great position though to stick at the top of the league (knock on wood).

I've got a passable winger/inad. scoring 17.0 on sale right now, he ends tomorrow if anyone's interested, with my inad. keeper coming out next week. Also have a trainee on sale with solid PM, formidable scoring, passable passing, and inad. SP. He's just on the verge on 19.

Pulled in a 16.46 kid who's got passable overall skills, solid wing cap and current inad. scoring for the academy, though that's nothing compared to a double excellent cap . He's unpredictable too

Chaos, you should definitely let one of the U20 scouts know about that kid. The old U20 coach Xarn plays in Reaper's and my youth league; he'd be a good guy to mail and just let him know that the kid exists. He'll have good advice on training him as well, and what will benefit him the most for a U20 shot.
