Gee how well you folks do not know the coach of the Caps. Who says Theo starts in Montreal? Ever hear of Varly?
Don't be shocked if Theo starts at all games in DC and Varly starts in Montreal.
Just a thought.

Teams just don't go with tandems in the playoffs. The only way Varly gets in net is if Theo plays bad.

Hmmm...yeah...And how well do you know the Caps coach? He is anything other than the normal. I just said don't be shocked if it happens. No one said he would go with a fresh rookie who had hardly played in the NHL last year in the playoffs. But he did.

Who cares? The OP is asking for a little bit of respect for Theo not Varly.

Even if we had compassion and promise not to boo Theo, do you really think its going to make a difference if only HF people agree to this?

I wouldnt be shocked if théo didnt survive in DC and gets pulled, but I really think putting the young Varlamov in that situation is risky.

The crowd and the noise in Montreal are going to be crazy and you can bet Théo or Varly will get taunted and booed even if they find a cure for aids before the series starts.

I won't boo Theo...but the Caps have to get rid of the sirens when they score at home and replace it with this....

LOL Worry about hurting Theo's feelings in a playoff game?

While I don't advocate silly personal stuff, I don't want him to get a big hug either.

If I was close enough for him to hear me next week, I would say personal stuff to him because I can't get infractions points in a live setting but I'm forced to behave here. I honestly respect the guy and think highly of him because everything he's had to go through this year but winning is so important to me that I would do anything.

I loved Slapshot and all the I banged your wife / your wife is a lesbian comments. The reason why Avery is good at what he does is because he crosses the line.

Hmmmm...maybe we should make a deal with Cap fans that if they don't boo are guys, we won't boo theirs. The good part about that would be they would have to go first.
I think this is a great idea.

Maybe the Habs also shouldn't try to score goals on him because of what has happened in his personal life.

You know, letting in more goals will make him more unhappy, and causing unhappiness is not a nice thing, especially for someone in his situation.

(I'm kidding, the original post is ridiculous)

Ummm...because he had to.

Theo Game 1: Apr 15 '09 NYR @ WSH L .810SV% 4 GA 21 SA

But you are right, we will see Varlamov again. Not because BB wants to, but because he has to.

Why did he do that though?
Because Theo sucked.
The same will go for this year. If Theo starts to suck BB will make Lama the starter. But in the mean time, its Theo's job to lose - he is the starter. There is no tandem..

He will not have one goalie play home games and the other play away, thats retarded.

He's done some good things in response to that, he started a charitable organization for kids and has worked hard with that. He doesn't need to hear childish chants and comments coming from the stands up there. Just let the teams play and enjoy good hockey.
Only if you promise not to score on our goalie.
Deal?!

Well Boudreau just said that not only is Theo their guy but, unlike last playoffs, Theodore won't be on a short leash.

Sorry but Boudreau just gave us the green light to do it.

Boudreau on the Canadiens crowd taunting Theodore with chants of "Tey-oh!": "We like the song. They can sing it all they want. "
