2010 Draft Picks

Which pick do you think the CBJ will get? I'm thinking we will end up with the 4th pick.

The Jackets Ball will come up.

The War Room will then review the lottery ball, and decide that the ball did not fully come up, and therefore it needs to be done over again. Tampa will win it, causing the Jackets to slide down a place.

Skraut's on the right track.

The CBJ ball comes up in the hopper; the league official who pulls it out goes, "Huh? What team is this?", and throws the ball into the trash can. The next ball to come out of the hopper is mysteriously Pittsburgh's, much to the delight of Bettman. Caught up in the excitement of the moment, Bettman decides on the spot to give the Pens the #1 overall pick.

The key is planning on the 5th: talk about the 5th, dream about the fifth and pick a player at 5th. I guarantee we won't get the fifth if that's what we want.

If we don't get 5th, we're wrecked as a franchise. We need fifth.

Follow the plot here.

4th might get the job done, but what we really need is to pick 5th. Hockey gods, give us 5th!

Crede's employing the Reverse Hope Strategy. It's worth a shot, IMO.

Because it puts us just outside of the top 4, which means it's that much more tradable since everybody has all sorts of opinions as to who should go there, and so someone is going to want to move up to grab some total loser. Therefore, we can trade down, get even MORE first round picks, use our amazing scouting powers to get three under-the-radar superstars with them and then we shall RULE THE WORLD! MUA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!!

Because it would be best for the Jackets franchise if Edmonton got Hall, Boston got Seguin, Florida got Fowler, and Tampa got Gudbranson. It just would be, ok?

The "why 5th" thing has been explained twice. Doesn't that nullify its effectiveness?

Do we really have a poll for predictions about ping-pong balls?

Tampa would take Gunbranson with the 2nd pick?

It's better than having 42 posts in the coaching thread from one of our mods making fun of Rick Tocchet's gambling problems.

Or maybe I just think it is. Can we bet on this somewhere?

Did we do something wrong ? If so we should plead the 5th. I just hope they don't take our pick away from us because we did something bad. I could see the league doing this and giving it to Toronto.

I'm starting to worry about Viqsi; that's the second time in 24 hours that she's used "MUA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!!" in one of her posts. You OK, girl?

I bet you get infraction points for this comment, because it's clear you went all in. While I appreciate you rolling the dice and getting your opinion out there, nobody beats the house.
