Caps' Backstrom Doubtful for game 1

rds.ca is reporting that Backstrom is doubtful for game 1 since he injured himself last game of the season on sunday vs Boston. And he wasn't at practice today.

If true, that's a very big loss for the Caps.

I heard he wasn't at practice but figured it was just rest and recuperation time... Backstrom's also missed parts of a few games because of migraine issues.

he isnt doubtful, he is questionable...

lets not try and overreact with words here, he has a very decent chance of playing, doubtful means he prob wont play

i sure hope your right though!

there is no difference between doubtful and questionable in my opinion

I don't care anyway and I wouldn't mind if he were there for the first game. I think it would actually be better. The Capitals need to come out full force against the Habs so Montreal knows right away what it will need to win this series. If they manage to win the first game because Backstrom is not there, then they will believe they can easily win the rest or whatever

Mind games; Backstrom will be inserted in the lineup at the last minute and will play.

I'm sure he'll play. If he does have some nagging injury though, it's up to the Habs intelligence to find it & pound on him till he breaks.

TSN seems to think he's more likely to play than not...

Any team with Ovechkin and Semin in the line up should be scary looking. But for some reason I'm not intimidated by these guys.

I actually think we have an honest shot to beat them. Oh and no I haven't been drinking.

Important thing here : Even if he's playing, he is not 100%.

I know any players aren't at 100% at this time, but anyway, he's at 70% haha
