Yes against Turco, no not against Ellis. Although we would be in a kinda similar position with two tandem starters neither good enough to take the number 1 role.

The only way Im not pissed off if we trade our 1st for a goalie is if the return is Price+MTL 1st.

Not Halak and their 1st and certainly not Halak by himself or with some other junk.

Id love to do Price+MTL 1st+ Subban for TB 1st+Mid Tier Prospect or something along those lines. Dreams...I know.

But surely the contract he is signed to will be an issue?

As we say:"Everywhere and always possible to agree"
For it would be better to leave KHL, progress on here is false to.

I apologize for my English writing through google-translate.

Standing right behind me throughout the game, a real nice guy. Hopefully he helps out a bit more than Lawton did.
We have a newly appointed GM? Kurvers?

sorry about that, Dudley was promoted in the Thrashers organization, not the Bolts.
I apologize for the confusion.

Unless Russia has reformed it's contract law, getting out of one shouldn't be any issue.

Two weeks notice, and he's done. Ovechkin and Malkin both did that with their Russian clubs, and despite the teams' protest, there was nothing legally they could do.

I like Teemu Pulkkinen, even if we have to trade down to get him. He's a winger with a skill set similar to Crosby. He absolutely dominated the U-18 tournament, with 10g 5a in only 6 games, including a hat-trick in the bronze-medal game. Thats 3 points behind Ovechkin for all-time in that tournament, with 2 less games.

He should be a 2nd-rounder.

Connolly or Nino. Recently read a post on the prospects board in which a scout was saying that Connolly's hip injury was not as serious as advertised. He played with tyrell and would look good with Stamkos in Downie in few years. He was ranked #3 North American skater and scouts really like his game. I was thinking Pulkinnen or Ryan Spooner for 2nd round.

I like Connolly as well but its not good when you dont put up big numbers at the U18's if you are a #3 pick.

Same here, I'm leaning more towards Gormley. I think he can cap out as a Franchise D-man and thats what we really need IMO. Wouldn't be hurt by Nino as well, kid is just magic. Either way its a win win, just hoping for Gormley

Nino's a great checking forward, can play the same role as Malone. He'd probably play another year of junior, spend a season in Norfolk, or maybe even play on our 3rd line (I like this scenario the best).

2nd round I say we go for Pulkkinen, Kabanov (if he's still on the board) or Ryan Snooper (Absolute sniper).

Then we draft 2 defensemen in the 3rd round, giving us two blue-chip forward prospects, and two defensive prospects.

We dont have a 2nd, 3 3rds though, maybe we can trade up? Although this draft is supposed to be pretty deep as in 100 or so top picks.

Unless a player drops that we really like I would keep all 3 picks. Lawton and his scouts made a lot of progress but we still need depth.

Traded with Recchi for Lashoff and Karsums. Not one of Lawton's better moments.
