In my opinion he wouldn't be playing much if there wasn't a bunch of injuries and when he is in the line up he is on the fourth line that gets about 5-7 shifts a game. I guess I expected more from him since he was an all star in the MJHL.

Solid win for our boys over UMD tonight...

Great game by Rowney and I really liked Parks' game tonight as well.

That line has been fun to watch. Parks really has a nonstop engine!

Sioux shot themselves in the foot last night by going to the box way to often in the first period. In my opinion Blood cost them the game by getting kicked out with cfb major. Stupid selfish play on his prt when he knows the Sioux are shorthanded.Nice comeback though after being down by three 22 minutes into the game only to lose 5-4 and Rowney damn near tying it up with 6 seconds left in the game. Nice to see him have a great weeknd. Looks like there is another scoring threat besides that first line and it couldn't come at a better time.

JT Browns hit from behind on Blod at the end of the game fridy night. Very dangerous and lucky Blood is one tough SOB. Probably should of gotten a game suspension for it considering Rau did on the same night with his hit on Zucker.

UND received a commitment from former NHLer Claude Lemieux's son Brendan Lemieux. Also UND and Omaha will be playing an outdoor game against each other next year in Omaha.

The date for the outdoor game is Feb.9,2013.

I would not be surprised if Brendan goes the OHL route like his dad did. Hopefully he isn't using this as leverage for juniors.

Brad Eidsness will start in net tonight against Michigan Tech. Aaron Dell will not dress with an undisclosed injury and is day-to-day.

He made some big saves tonight in the 3rd but he scares me. He was flopping around pretty damn good there in the 3rd but somehow righted himself in time to make some huge saves and preserve a 4-2 Sioux win. Rowney with 2 more goals tonight. He has sure turned it on the the last 6 games. Yet another threat besides that first line.

UND and Michigan Tech tie 1-1 tonight. Not pretty but at least we got 1 point of it. Looks like we will be in a 3-way tie for 4 with UNO and CC, that is if UNO holds their 4-3 lead against CC. Big weekend in Denver next weekend!

I was at the game and had a great view from a suite. They really didn't deserve a point but that happens during the season from time to time. Again Eidsness scares me but he is getting the job done, that and the help from 5 pipes on saturday. Sioux weren't crisp with their passes at all and had a lot jump off their sticks when it was tape to tape. Huge series in Denver this weekend. 2 points is a must and anymore would be a bonus in my book.

UND beats Denver 4-3 tonight. UND was winning 4-0 in the third and Denver managed to score 3 goals, 2 being in the final minute. UND is now in 4th place, 1 point behind Denver. The Sioux need 1 win in their final three games in order to clinch home ice. Not sure who I want in net tomorrow night, Brad Eidsness or Aaron Dell.

Sioux lose 5-3 to Denver. Brad Eidsness started for the Sioux played well in the first but gave up 4 goals in the 2nd so Aaron Dell started the 3rd. I believe that there were 3 game misconducts, 2 for Denver and 1 for the Sioux. UND will host Minnesota-State Mankato next weekend.

Finally got to watch a full weekend series for the Sioux. Great game last night. Tonight they had little energy and seemed somewhat flat. The D-Core still looks great. UND firmly won one game and DU firmly one the other, neither was real close at any point.

Home ice has been secured. That in itself is an accomplishment for this team that has gone through more adversity than any team that I can remember.

Looks like the Sioux will only be dressing 17 skaters this coming series with the landcows as Dickin is doubtful. Unreal that they could wrap up 4th place this weekend with all the adversity they have been through this season.

The Sioux have clinched home ice in the first round of the WCHA playoffs for the 10th consecutive season, the longest active streak in the WCHA. That my friend is consistency.

The Sioux beat Mankato 4-2 tonight. They locked up 4th place in the WCHA and will host either Wisconsin or Bemidji State next weekend.

Regardless of how far the Sioux go this year this is by far Hakstols best job behind the bench.
