34 bucks a ticket is a steal, and to think I had problems getting people to go at first. I'll be the ONLY guy there wearing an Esche third jersey (it's lucky, 3-0 in playoff games, which is the only time I wear it) come up and say hello!
If you go to Newark the day of and wait outside the arena, they sell tickets for $10. I went to the last game of the playoffs two years ago and saw NYR eliminate the Devs. Had to sit outside in Newark for like six hours but it was worth it.
Yeah I just spoke to one of my friends and I'm definitely going on Friday. Just waiting to talk to a few more friends before I get my tickets. Definitely going with a Devils fan though. I will leave him in Newark if they win.
I'll likely be taking the train up too, you'll pass by my stop (Edison) on the way there. The Rock is only 2 blocks away from Newark station and relatively safe.
Yeah, I've taken it up there 3-4 times and never had any issues. I love how easy it is to get there by train. The past two times I've had the pleasure of having quick chats with Brian Propp, Coatesy, and Doc Emrick after the game since the Acela to Philly usually departs a few minutes before one of the NJ Transit trains on the same platform.
My god! Tix are at $15 for tonight right now...I serously feel like cancelling all my plans, cutting out of work and heading up there. That is ridiculous...I figured some tix would be available, but I didn't figure for that! They aren't even on the ends either, they're center ice, and not even the last row. And there's tons of them, lol. This sucks, I wanna go. I wish it were Saturday, or I wish Game 2 was on Saturday. I'm sure a bunch of people from here would go, maybe get a nice HF tailgate going. I don't think I'll be able to make it on a Friday, though.
I sure hope tons of Flyers fans make it up there tonight, though...and Friday.
I'm going to wait and see if Friday's prices drop. If they get down to 35 I'll probably jump on that.
Yeah, I was a little hesitant to wait, but I probably won't find out til later tonight whose all coming coming on Friday anyway. At the earliest, I probably won't get them until tomorrow, and I hope it works out in my favor. Can't believe tickets are that cheap right now. I'd kill for some Flyers home games to go for $15.
