is the cup ring going to help him hit harder?

if we want a checker i would put Cheech, Donovan, Winchester, or Smith before Shannon

Seriously, Winchester and Shannon at least bring some speed and energy.

Cheechoo is as much of a scoring threat as Pascal Leclaire is.

I'm not liking that 4th line at all.

He's had a horrible year, but he's always around the net.
The dude hit the post like 20 times this year

The playoffs are all about garbage goals...he's a big body you can use in front of the net.

Shannon, Winny haven't done anything too show that they would bring anything more at this point. Last year Cheechoo was one of the only guys that played like he cared on the Sharks team.

He has definitely struggled this year. badly. but he is built for the playoffs. maybe not perfectly built, but..... he is hard on the puck, goes hard to the net, forechecks hard, backchecks hard, shoots A LOT, and creates scoring chances.
He has playoff experience, and has performed well every post season. He would be playing to keep his career alive. He is a potential game changer and deserves a shot.
Would put him in, take winchester out.
So yeah, i agree with you Trobby. I think we're part of the 0.5% here though.

Why people hatin on the fourth line. Those guys were put together for a couple of games (had Butler in over Smith once) and they were very good. They brought a lot of energy and generated some good chances.

If they get pucks deep, It'll be hard for teams to get out of their own end. This guys can all really work it along the boards.

I agree. Plus it isn't like CC is scared of switching up his lines midgame. If the fourth line has problems I would switch midgame to:

Michalek-Cullen-Smith
Foligno-Fisher-Winchester

A bit more balanced bit less skill on line2.

Can't wait for 7 not sure what to expect, hopefully they can weather the earlier storm and stay out of the box for the first 5 mins and get settled into CC's game plan.

Enjoy the game everyone!

Should be easier this time weathering the storm. Pittsburgh doesn't have Gary Roberts.
