!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anytime the Wings lose its a good game, but this one was exceptional in the 3rd period. Go Coyotes!

just wait for the annual "rate the goalies" thread on the main board, you'll see quite a few including the non-homers. But I'm just arguing about how some people get on Ward for being so streaky. Right now there's not a young goalie in the league that's not streaky.

Hell, I'm convinced that Ward would have been on Canada this year if not for the injury. If the NHL gets off its ass and lets our guys go to Russia he'll be starting. Likely with Fleury and Luongo or someone like Jack Allen as backup.

If they lose this series, it's gonna be an entertaining offseason. We're talking the greatest team blowup in the history of blowups.

Caps lost because Scott Walker didn't play.

I still can't believe that save Luongo had in OT.

Washington lost tonight too.. only thing that could be better is if both the Sabres and Bruins could have lost (or if we were in the playoffs )

Go spectacularly bizarre simultaneous disqualification?

They ain't winning it. Hockey Gods frown on Buffalo.

The Habs/Caps game was awesome. I think I cheered a bit too loud when Plekenec scored.

I just wish the Kings could have won theirs.

Sports gods in general. Something about misplaced arrogance, or something along those lines.

Just kidding... but not really.

Two days in:
  • I feel icky all over for pulling for the Canadiens, but yes, I hate the Caps that much.
  • Part of me wants the Sabres to win the whole thing, so the city will implode and drift quietly into Lake Erie. You know, kinda "let 'em win one so they'll shut the ***** up?" Screw that, though. I hope they lose Game 7 of the final ... to Phoenix.
  • Love the guy, but gotta say "no" to UFA Justin Williams. In three HD Kings games I've seen in the last 10 days, I don't recall him even having a legit scoring chance. He's lost a step, and isn't a beast along the boards anymore, either. It's too bad, too. Awesome guy, and just the type player we need (when he was that player).
  • When you know you're team is going to miss the playoffs, you tend to forget how awesome they are. That Det/Pho game on Wednesday was *thrilling*.
  • Seven-for-seven in one-goal games, only two in (relatively short) overtimes. Versus is happy. I'm happy. Haven't stayed up until 2 a.m. yet.

I see a Cup in Buffalo as doing nothing but making their fans 10 times more unbearable.

You just gave me something to cheer for...

I'd even settle for a Game 6 double-OT in Buffalo, with the winning goal coming on a scramble in the crease. That way we might actually see Sabres fans flinging themselves off the balconies like lemmings.

If I ever meet the red wings commentators I will punch them.
So far 2 obvious penalties and for some reason they both think they are absolute horrid calls.

The Avs-Sharks game 2 is looking like a bit of a good one. 3-2 Avs 4:08 into the 2nd period. Back and forth here.

Its nice seeing this young Colorado team do well. Also, the thought of the entire SJ team going nuts from another 1st round exit is kind of exciting.
