Skate Fitting Process

I have bought my last 3-4 pairs of hockey skates at a huge hockey only store so I have always got the best of treatment with skate fitting. They used to heat them up really good, tie them on tight and then you would put your feet into a compression box to really speed up the molding.

Now I don't think they use the compression box typically, so just heat and you are good to go, no blisters ever.

My question is, is this the standard process at most skate retailers in sport stores? Will a Sportchek, Sportmart etc.. heat them up?

Most big chains like that should have a little glass oven for them, yeah.
