I hope they can pull off another win...coming home up 2-0 would be huge.
I'd rather see Donovan in the lineup than Shannon.
C'mon guys and gals. Have some faith in our coach. Imo the reason Shannon is in there is because:
1. He wants to be able to move someone up to the top-2 lines if someone isn't going early.
2. He needs some more offence for the 2nd PP unit. Since he likes Cullen to play at the point on unit one we're short at least 1 forward for our second unit. That said, who'd you rather have on the PP...Shannon or Donovan?
Have a little faith guys and know that Clouston is VERY much aware of the trade offs...
While a split is still great, I really hope the boys don't come out too relaxed and comfortable after taking the early series lead. They gotta be hungry to steal another game, it would be a massive boost for their confidence.
Sens just gotta keep it simple and play patient like the other night, frustrate the Pens and than strike at the right time. Elliott will have to better, he's got the nerves out of the way and I expect him to zone in and be solid, than again so will Fleury though.
Should be a good one and hoping the Sens can weather the storm that the Pens will surly bring.
the good news is that spezza and alfredsson were more or less invisible on wednesday.
i'm not sold on elliott bouncing back with a huge game, but i do think he'll be better.
should be a good game.
I kind of hope the Sens put some more rubber on Elliott to start the game. I think part of his problem last game was that he never really got into it because he barely faced any shots in the 1st period. The color guy on VS mentioned it a few times.

I know what you mean, but the more shots he takes, the more likely the Pens are gonna score. I'd rather let the team take as many shots away from Ells as possible.

This and I think he was just a tincy bit nervous which is fine.. Some of the butterflies should be gone this game with a win under his belt.. His performance was far from the Norm of his, but we got the W and that is ALL that matters... usually after a showing like last game he usually steps it up the next time around, which is what I'm hoping for.
