Friday is Voting Day

Send votes for match-ups in the Jim Robson and Foster Hewitt to seventieslord.
Send votes for match-ups in the Bob Cole and Rene Lecavalier to VanIslander.

Indicate which team will win and in how many games (anywhere from a 4 game sweep to game 7 contest) and rank the top three stars of the series (the three best performing players in the match-up).

For example... "Team X will win in 6 games. The three stars are 1. Bugs Bunny 2. Mickey Mouse 3. Donald Duck"

We aren't voting on our own series, correct?

Going forward, it would be a good idea if all GM's write a brief closing argument summarizing their key competitive advantages, and their plan to minimize their opponent's potential advantages, one or two days before votes are due.

This can probably be done in around five bullet points (with links to the post with the full argument for convenience).

So not the long essay I wrote to close?

At least I bolded the parts that were equivalent of bullets.

Well, sent my votes in. Incredible parity in first round, I had 9 series go to game 7.

Voted. I think I had 1 series go to 5 games, but no sweeps.

Excellent job to every one of our 30 teams

I haven't voted yet. But the only series where I haven't made up my mind quite yet are going 7 games. At most, I'll have 2 series going less than 6 games. Good job by everyone involved.

Hahahaha. Yes, my series and a series that doesn't exist. Used to 32 teams maybe?

Does that mean I had 8/13 series going 7 games? Crazy.

That is pretty spectacular. Lots of parity this time around it seems. A few of them were a very tough call.

I have 10/13 going to 7 games, 2/13 going to 6 games, and only 1/13 going to 5 games. No sweeps.

I got recent votes from rzeznik, Leaf Lander and Nighthawks.

22 GMs have submitted votes. That's not enough. We need a couple more.
