No, they're great. Microsoft Office Word Art screams value.

Just that the jerseys and logos are one of the most important pieces for a franchise, so price shouldn't be a concern when trying to come up with an image. A decent logo and jersey design is also a great way to generate revenue. Ask any GM in minor pro sports.

Green Mountain Rock Crushers used a Canadian artist who is regularly featured on PuckDrawn.com

Holy smokes!!!! They ACTUALLY fixed the Investors section and the spelling of the word buy.

Billy brings up a good point. Did they contact Molson about that? If not, and word gets around...kiss this franchise goodbye before it ever hits the ground.

That jersey looks like something an ELMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT drew in an art class.

Danville Dashers announced

I think someone posted earlier that they noticed on EliteProspects.com that the Danville team was called the 'Dashers'.

Announced today that they are sticking with the old name, but having a new logo.

The old Dashers played in the Continental Hockey League from 1981 -1984.

I teach elementary school and I would not accept that crap from a student.

I like the name, its unique to the area and the logo update is solid, not over the top good but solid. I'd be nice if they worked the old logo into their set, a shoulder patch, a tshirt, something...

So I guess all that's left now is Cincy, anybody hear anything about that because I can't seem to find anything.

Once again, haters gonna hate.

I'd like to see what y'all would come up with for a logo for the Niagara Falls Nationals. Or is kvetching all you can do?

Somebody mentioned something about maybe an arena in a mall. Sports Plus sounds logical but the Storm got kicked out, US Bank arena is probably not likely and the Gardens are out.

But i've heard squat though, it's getting kinda late to startup something tho.

I don't think so because a kindergarten or first grade student actually tries.

That's easy. I wouldn't design one because I have a business background, not a graphic design background. So I would leave it up to a person or company that specializes in graphic designs to come up with a professional logo and jersey. All the Jr.A and even Jr.B teams in Canada are doing this. So it can't be that hard (or that expensive).

The person that designed the logo and jerseys obviously has the same graphic design skills as me, which are none.

Maybe if it was a middle school project and the team was looking for some PR, then let it be a third jersey, not your primary.

Can always tell a smart businessman by how they post. LOL.

Honestly, they should have done something.....representing THE FALLS. I know, kinda hard when you pick the name "Nationals"

I guess they coulda done a Leaf floating downstream or something, or about to fall off the fall, lol.

With a lot of hype and publicity, the FHL completed their 2011 Expansion Draft.

Which most likely means the FHL is done expanding for the year; no Cincinnati, no Lewiston, and no team out west with Danville.

What is even more interesting is that the Green Mountain Rock Crushers were not part of the expansion draft

Full results can be seen here:
http://thefederalhockeyleague.points...box/news_27416

Surprised the Aviators didn't hold on to their goalie Druce.

Miller has a lot of confidence in Eddie Neville, who missed all of last season with knee surgery.

Might be looking to him to be the #1.

I am sure Miller will give him the reigns as starter and see how it goes. Good for Eddie for making a comeback after knee surgery, hope he has a strong season.

Druce was a good pick for the Nationals, and will probably enjoy playing closer to home.

To clarify some earlier posts. I'm pretty sure Rome Frenzy folded mid-season and the RockCrushers did not join the FHL because they failed to submit payment to the FHL in time.

Rome Frenzy tried to get going again for the second season, but could not find an arena with a favourable lease. One of my posts I copied and pasted the response email from the owner of the Frenzy franchise.

Danville made some picks APPARENTLY according to a post I read elsewhere:

10-11 Team Drafted By Round Pick Last First DOB Pos

Danbury Niagara Falls Nationals 1 1 Willock Andrew J. 6/18/1985 Forward
Danbury New Jersey Outlaws 1 2 Arnott Jr. Paul 8/1/1987 Defense
New York Danville Dashers 1 3 Pelle Joseph R. Jr. 9/10/1984 Forward
1000 Islands Danville Dashers 2 1 LaPorte William 9/17/1989 Forward
Rome New Jersey Outlaws 2 2 Maier Mike 1/3/1986 Forward
New York Niagara Falls Nationals 2 3 Druce Kevin 2/10/1984 Goalie
Danbury Niagara Falls Nationals 3 1 Caranci Matt 3/7/1986 Forward
New York New Jersey Outlaws 3 2 Galloway Warren 2/1/1983 Defense
New York Danville Dashers 3 3 Holmes Chris 8/28/1986 Forward
Akwesasne Danville Dashers 4 1 Lagace Kyle 7/10/1986 Forward
New York New Jersey Outlaws 4 2 Lyon Tyler 2/4/1985 Defense
1000 Islands Niagara Falls Nationals 4 3 Poliakov Nikita 6/22/1989 Forward
Danbury Niagara Falls Nationals 5 1 Schott Lucas 1/22/1984 Forward
Rome New Jersey Outlaws 5 2 Fimiani David 7/14/1987 Forward
Danbury Danville Dashers 5 3 McClellan Steve 4/22/1985 Forward

But I admit thats tough as **** to read, so maybe i'm wrong

3 teams I guess didn't participate in the draft?

Actually, I don't think Rome is to be ruled out yet, if they were I don't think they would have been a part of the draft.

Green Mountain Rock Crushers are still in the league and are hosting a Free Agent camp for the FHL soon.

It is a shock that they didn't participate in the expansion draft because they are an expansion franchise.

Rome is dead. There was a news article I posted earlier that states that claim. I think the league is hanging onto the franchise to try to put it in Lewiston or another market. Make it look like a relocation, not the folding of a franchise.

They are no longer under the team tab....

However, Rome still is. I recall They took Green Mountain off briefly and their website was down but a couple days later it was back..

Rome is officially out:

http://romesentinel.com/news?newsid=20110519-142231

-That news site looks brutal...so far behind the times

BTW the article is 3 weeks old, this kinda flew under the radar...

In Canada people are connected to sources like that regarding the minor leagues?(remember our conversation about how Canadians view minor league hockey, so I had to nitpick this out here, lol.) You can't even reveal it in a PM?!
