so according to (THIS) brief article which lacks many details the Akwesasne Warriors owe the league $12,500 in fines, and if they aren't paid their games could be cancelled.
Tonight they have Brooklyn and word from the Aviators is they are on the the way there....so I guess we'll see.
How would that go over with the Bears.
Jr A's been in Smiths Falls for awhile
Yeah, I doubt the Bears would be too happy about it, but I think Smiths Falls could get at least 500 fans in for every FHL game while maintaining the Bears as well... it's a good little hockey town.
Did they cancel the 1000 Islands game last night? I know they got a bit of snow up there, wouldnt surprise me if it was the weather, 81 between Syracuse and Watertown is scary in a snow storm .. I was going 20mph one time and only reason I knew I was still on the road is because I was following taillights

Looks like they did. On the main website it says that due to the severe storm there was not going to be any broadcast of the game on a large red banner. Also in the scores it shows the game never started.
The Danville Dashers are quickly becoming the de facto farm team for the Cincinnati Cyclones. Ryan Stern, Billy Hunt, Dean Yakura and Darek Ste. Marie have all been called up this year. Yakura hit the post last night. and Ste. Marie didn't look out of place.
Stern was called up earlier and also didn't look out of place. I didn't see Hunt play.
I know that there isn't a formal agreement between the Cyclones and Dashers.
Does Reading and/or Trenton use Federal Leaguers when in a player pinch? I would think that due to location that they would.

Trenton has a deal with New Jersey, either officially or unofficially .. Elmira has an official deal with Danbury
"Yet the league actively is pursuing new markets, including Lewiston, Maine, which once housed the Maineiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League."

which was written long before the dissolution of the MAINEiacs, CSB, which is why they pursued the FHL as an option, hence why that 5 game exhibition was agreed upon.
1000 islands had a team of replacements again last night, not sure whats going on there, maybe they didnt want their starters to get hurt in a game that didn't have an effect on the standings
Actually this is not as bad of a league as i thought, here in Elmira we have called up several players this season, and they are very high quality players

Wheeling and Brooklyn are affiliated as well. I am not aware of how many FHL players were called up this season though.
strange playoff structure, seems like theyre using the old SPHL model, 1v6 is a 5 game series and the winner gets a bye into the final, then 2v5 and 3v4 are 3 game series and the winners play each other for the other spot in the final.
