The 8 PM start is killer for me... If it was 7 or even 7:30 I was definitely planning on making the 6.5 hour commute to get there, but getting back at 6 AM instead of 5 AM is just too late. Sorry guys.

It won't be blackedout.

The demographics of this fan base make an 8pm start on a school night problematic. The under 600,000 population of Metro means the team depends on fans from outside of Davidson county .... the further out they come from, the worse a late start is. Look how many fans we have from the Boro and Clarksville. Now factor in the ones traveling even further and midnight and 1am return times becomes an issue ... especially for those with school aged kids. It's an issue with 7pm starts.

Some FANS have made the decision that work/school in the morning have to take priority over enjoying a game that will run beyond 10pm .... so be it.

Here are my thoughts on the lack of marketing (going off what you guys are saying, not being in Nashville I don't know for myself). Perhaps the front office figured out that the difference in tickets sold between a sellout (16.5k-ish sold) and having say 15.5kish sold would not be enough to offset the costs of a heavy marketing push. Granted if you add in merchandise and concessions sales from these games I'm not sure it would work out, but I don't know the math they're using. Otherwise, I have absolutely zero idea as to why they would not market the playoffs.

16075 according to Felder. If the comps remained constant for recent playoff series ... we're in the neighborhood of 750 paid below average for weeknight playoff games compared to the past two series.

You don't have to spend money to market. Show up for the afternoon or morning talk shows, do interviews for the news channels, etc. Put yourself out there, let people know what's going on.

How in the h@#l do you know that? Do take a census prior to each game? You can't go to a Preds game if your IQ is sub-average.

I guess it goes to show that your TCAP score is truly meaningless.

the only people who will make a big deal out of a non-sellout last night are the people who arent going to be satisfied even if we did sell out. the anti-Nashville crowd wont suddenly be impressed and have a change of heart. Fnancially we likely underperformed expectations by 50K. Not a bottom line killer, not even close.

The NHL.com recp of the game described the crowd as 'ear splitting' and they were right.... the atmosphere, and most importantly, the WIN are all that matters about last night.

we'll see how the crowd is thursday, but I suspect it'll be a full house.

If we win this series, tickets will get scarce really quick.

just win boys... just win...

Your point being?

The decision to bring the kids or not falls on the parents, not a message board herd mentality.

On 104.5 this morning, they said there are 2500-3000 tickets available for Thursday.

I don't think the tests were much of an issue.

Back to topic boys and girls.

The attendance looked good to me. I didn't see enough empty seats to matter. Frankly, just as long as the team makes money, wins games, and worries about the game not what the media thinks of Nashville, the team will be fine.

And even if Nashville did sell out there will be those who won't be happy anyway simply because the Nashville Predators exist.

There is a saying, "If they mind they don't matter. If they matter you don't mind"

Don't worry about what people say, it's a waste of time anyway.

Nope, Williamson County has the same schedule as the rest of the state since the state dictates the schedule. Tests through Thu, Fri is a make up day.

I'm not saying it matters, but I was disappointed to see as many emptys as I did. Those sections in the lower bowl were glaring. I haven't been to all of the playoff games, but I've been to at least one in all of our series and this was probably the worst "looking" crowd we've had. It was as loud as any other playoff game I've been to though, and if we win, well that is all that really matters at this point.

Im glad it looked good on TV, because it was disheartening to be the only 3 people in a 20 seat row and have two fully empty rows in front of me.

but as I said before, the crowd was still awesome, and the team played like they were buoyed by us. So its all good.
