The underdog Flyers, who finished 15 points behind the Devils in the Eastern Conference, are suddenly one victory away from advancing into the conference semifinal round for the first time in two seasons.
WIP has altered the injury report to Gagne, now saying "lower body" rather than "lower back." Makes sense since teams are generally restrictive in specifying during the post-season.
He's been so, so good.
Boosh has been solid, but the Devils don't have an ES goal in the last 2 games, went 3 for 16 on the PP (which is awesome PKing IMO, never easy to kill 8 penalties per game) and 1 of those 3 goals was a 5 on 3 goal.
I mean, I'm pretty sure that the Devils barely had an ES chance in Game 3 and even today in Game 4, they weren't up to too much at ES.
So to put it simply, both Pronger and Kimmo have exceeded all expectations. We came back up with the 1-1 and Pronger/Kimmo have basically stepped up huge at home and were at the heart of both wins.
