Game 2 and 3 weren't early enough? You contradict yourself in the second part of your post.

it's ALL about scheme. Julien has simply outcoached Ruff by a wide margin. The Bruins adjusted after game one, they attack more then they ever have. They have taken our system and built the perfect counter through aggressive forecheckers and strong play at the blueline. they pressure the puck and Lindy hasn't changed a thing
yup.

Bruins deserved to win that game. The end.

The physical obsolescence on display tonight was so pathetic that it was adorable. "Awh, look at them try!"

Honestly - did Ruff instruct the team to not finish any checks? Fear of taking themselves out of position, perhaps?

This game reminded me of the Ducks vs. Sens series.

You all need to start thinking more positively. At least Quinn gets his 3-4 bonus home games.

Honestly, the lack of urgency has been going on for years. It's almost like they picked up that habit back in the "co-capitan" days when they could float for 50 minutes and then score almost at will in the last 10 minutes. Apparently, they didn't get the memo that those days are long gone, they actually have to work for goals.

Lydman's shown a lot in this series. They're going to miss him next year.

In most cases, it starts down the middle...

Yzerman-Fedorov-Draper
Modano-Niewendyk
Sakic-Forsberg
Arnott-Madden-Brylin
Lecavalier-Richards
Staal-Brindy-Weight
Getzlaf-MacDonald-Pahlsson
Crosby-Malkin-Staal

Roy might get a passing grade so far. Gaustad is failing and Connolly has been an embarrassment. We haven't a chance based on what we are getting from our centers.

no real reason to be upset.

we all knew this team sucked.

we all knew it would be a first round exit.

anyone who thought this team was better than they showed deserves the pain for believing in this subpar team.

Wasn't there something about Ruff having to tell the guys to pull back a bit after hitting everything that moves in Game 1, Period 1?

Hm, weird, we won that period, and have looked pretty poor since then.

Oh, I forgot, hitting doesn't win games. Right, Lindy

The people who were criticized for calling for drastic roster changes this season, and seasons past knew exactly what they were talking about.

This team lacks the character to compete, and has terrible offensive instincts.

Huh? Either you didn't read or you don't know the definition of "contradict." I said Rask is making more big saves than Miller, which he is. I said we have to get to Rask early because he doesn't give up late goals, especially to us; that's also true. There is no contradiction. Rask has been better than Miller this series, unfortunately.

I spent the entire third period talking about stillborn kittens and it was more enjoyable than paying attention.

I'm not joking either.

Yep. Small intense guys are fine. But there aren't enough BIG intense guys. Winning pucks and getting to the net? Yeah. Helps to have some guys who can do that and this team doesn't have ANY in the top 6 right now and lets face it... they sortof have 1 when Vanek's healthy. But they are too small to get by in the playoffs. I used to think they could have two of Roy/Ennis/Pominville/Kennedy/Gerbe/other guy under 5'11".... right now... that hasn't changed. Two. They've got four playing forward in the top 9.

Just please let this series be an eye-opener to management that this team is not good enough.

It's time to stop being madly in love with your own players and look to make some improvements from the outside.

Has everything to do with effort. Gliding around, intimidated and scared to go into the corners. The powerplay has no sense of urgency, and the roster is laden with guys who clearly can not buckle down when they need to the most.

Legitimately sick to my stomach.

Yeah, they don't have the horses in the middle and with Adam looking like he's going to be a winger... good thing they drafted Kreider last year...oh. Yeah. ****.

I wouldn't be surprised to see both Connolly and Roy gone before they get anywhere in the playoffs.

The team is good enough to get 3 home playoff games, the revenue that comes with them, and turn a profit for the season.

Oh, and buy another new $140 jersey for next year, folks!

so you ready to move on from the long term contracts of Roy and Pominville in the offseason?

Doesnt Poms have a NTC that kicks in next year?

I like Roy as a #2 center...there's no legit options out there for a #1 though...Marleau maybe?

And watching Marleau he's really more of the same that's already here.
