So Alfie is in the lineup then? Just thinking back to that hit.

Hopefully he's close to 100%

Another day of getting up at the crack of dawn to catch the Sens followed by Preds.

My Wednesday would get a really big boost if both teams won, so come on and get it done!

Good to see Cheech in the lineup (anyone would be better than Shannon right now), but why not Donovan? I really feel he is the better fit for the sens right now.

How was Cheechoo in Bingo ? He had something like 8 goals ?

Did he play any better, did he get more chances or just more posts ?

I wonder if he's found his old scoring touch and confidence back.

I don't think CC would put him back in if he didn't think he could be of any help.

Glad Cheech is in. He's a better fit for the 4th line. Crash, Bang and Shoot. That's what he does, and thats what we need. Specially the Shoot part.

There's no doubt this is the game of the year. If we go down 3-1, clearly it is over.
What I think we have to do better is engage our defense. I found we have gotten little in terms of production from them. They have barely gotten shots through (full credit to the penguins for limiting their chances) and the forwards have barely had an outlet in them to use.
The Penguins on the other hand, have done a great job using their d-men in the offensive zone and that has killed us.
Another thing that keeps frustrating me is I find the Penguins do an amazing job at creating interference, but not to the point where it is a penalty. Maybe we're not fighting through it enough, but that has played into us getting limited chances too.

if we play like we have the past 2 games, it won't be hard to be the best player on the ice

It is at the very least, a possibility.
It was never a possibility that ryan shannon was going to be our best player in any game against pittsburgh.

It's about time Cheechoo got called. I've been saying to bring him in the lineup since Kovalev went down.

Argh, i'm watching sportsnet, they said Alfie didn't skate in this morning's practice, and Cheechoo seemed to be skating well, so he'll be in. They also said Ottawa has no chance in hell to win (anything new)?

I Hope Cheechoo does nothing just to shut all you cheechoo lover's up. He hasnt produce when with the big club, with the AHL why wasnt he tearing it up? 5 goals in 25 games? thats pathetic comign from a guy who everyone calls will be our saviour.
Cheechoo hasnt been to the NHL level in a bit of time, and i find everyone will zoom in to like 1 play he will do. like a crappy hit everyone will be like, he nailed him! idk, i just find people are biased, let him play and lets see from there, im glad he will get a shot but he wont be a superstar or even a stand out, i doubt you will notice him, only time you will is when he cant stand on 2 feet while skating, and is chugging to catch up with the play.

It's funny how certain fans hope for a guy to suck just so that they can be right, even if its a negative for the team.

Why not support the guy? Cheer him on? Who knows, he might have a great game.

The series is only 2-1. We win tonight, and it's a best of 3. The amount of negativity around here is amazing.

Alfie hasn't gone to a practice for over a month. The Crosby hit is just pile on to whatever else is going on. Time for Spezza to engage and step up to be the leader this game, and not in peripheral play and give aways. He's been ok, but has the skill set to be much more. If he is not skating hard tonight, you wonder if his freakin' back is flared up again, or if it's just the pressure.

Yeah Alfie's missed alot of practices, maybe that's what keeps him fresh. Either way, he needs to step up tonight. I pretty sure he's injured, he's just keeping it in so it doesnt distract the rest of the team. That "pep talk" after he got hit from Crosby, i don't buy it God's hurt!

Seriously.

I don't think he'll help the club much, but I really hope he gets a hat-trick, 4 assists and a standing o.
