You can have my cell number if you want, but I don't know what I could do that everyone noticing you stopped posting wouldn't achieve.

How many days in a row (and skipped picks) would it take before we notice? EB's idea is better.

That's my thought behind it.

There's the scenario: I'll stop posting, I'll miss a clock. Afterwards people will wonder if I missed my clock because I don't have Internet access at all, or if it's just real-life taking it's toll over the Internet. By this time I will miss a second pick since I pick very close apart. After that, you guys will start looking for a replacement, but unsure if you should make both selection for me, as I'm a veteran GM and all. It's going to take another 36-48 hours before a definite replacement is taken, who will have two picks to make, when we are about a full round later.

I don,t want this to happen. I should be fine, but just in case.

Haha, everyone wants to be the first. It's amazing how excited people are to get anything that will give them some little meaningless token of perceived status.

Perceived status on a hockey message board nonetheless!

Christ. No wonder. We definitely have to turn off our 8 hour clock on deadline day, and maybe even within a couple of days too.

Like every year I think the mods will limit the ability to posting threads on the "Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk Forum" to just moderators and sponsors. But in past years, I have began my NHL Mock Entry Draft on deadline day, and once or twice wasn't able to start because the servers crashed. I'm definitely all for shutting off the clocks.

Take today for example. The boards suddenly crashed for a good hour. Just think what it will be in 10 days.

that's scary. what's it going to be like on the day before and after deadline day? and on deadline day?

We should look at suspending deadlines on these three days, to ensure no one misses a pick due to outages.

Moderators should really be the only one allowed to open threads in the rumors section when the site is already so much slow.Even with that I'm sure 2 or 3 thread will pop up

People are really going crazy about rumors and stuff like that , not a big fan.
I prefer waiting to see completed trades then discuss it.

Makes me laugh the number of people dissing eklund but when you see scary stuff like a complete page of threads about chris kelly for a 2nd you just know this guy was a visionnaire when he started his business. The thirst for rumors is a gold mine it seems.

this site says the new york times published detailed stats for '28. it says joliat led the NHL in shots, and buck boucher, eddie shore and lionel hitchman played over 50 minutes per game.

anyone know about this?

Sub-par beer in quantity of 4 does not constitute drinking.

That's defintiely how it was last year at deadline time. Only sponsors and mods were able to open threads. My guess is that next week that might occur again.
