Anyone know any downsides to the Devour?

Devour uses motoblur and is basically a very cheap Droid with a better keyboard.

Droid is an awesome phone with awesome hardware but the keyboard is hard to get used to.

If you're going to get one or the other get a Droid. I'd go with a Droid Incredible though.

Are you looking for a R2 unit or a protocol droid?

I have no idea. Is there a quick explanation of the difference?

Is the Droid Incredible all touch screen?

R2 units sometimes have bad motivators. Protocol droids are great for etiquette and protocol.

It has the same guts as the Nexus One, other than the higher res camera (8 MP). It's the same speed as the NO, as the NO has been available on T-Mob for a couple months.

It will be out April 29th.

I'd wait for the HTC Droid Incredible (April 29th). From reviews I've read, tech bloggers are calling it "The best Android Phone (soon to be) available in the US" and that's including the Nexus One.

So if you're re-upping with Verizon, hold off for this one, it will be worth it.

Also if you're concerned it's all touchscreen you're not gaining much with either the Devour of the original Droid.

Droid

My girlfriend has the droid and although she loves it for the games and things she can download it really sucks talking with her as its a terrible phone...you know for phone calls. Often buzzy and cuts in and out volume wise..avoid the droid!

Your GF sounds like she has a defective unit. Has she tried getting it serviced?

I think he should get one that speaks the binary language of moisture vaporators.

I also recommend buying new, rather than secondhand through Jawa resellers.

That really odd. I haven't heard any real outcries about a similar problem with most Droid Users.

Unlike the problems with the Nexus One.

To OP: I'm telling you man. The HTC Droid Incredible is hands down the best ANDROID phone you can get on the market. Or Concurrently the best phone on Verizon.

I wouldnt say it is hands down the best phone, there are drawbacks to it.

Keep in mind that anything Sense UI tends to lag badly behind with regards to updates. The incredible does have a hell of a touchscreen from what I have read though.

If you were looking to go with a new HTC Sense UI unit sans keyboard, you should wait for the Evo 4G.

Are the new HTC units coming with the complete voice command that the N1 has? I dont see why they wouldnt, but I dont see the little microphone on the keyboard in the pictures online. Its amazing how well the N1 can pick up your voice....and how you can do everything by voice.

I like the new Dell Thunder (Android-based) and Lightning (Windows Mobile 7-based) phones.

Thunder:
