Had a few beers, very happy. All I gotta say...

I change my avy in honor of Lappy. He's the man. I hear he's alright, thank god.

And I wore my Giroux jersey tonight.

Senators still in it! Wow, Stevens on Versus with the most emotions I've ever seen from him. Not that that means too much.

I'm thinking of changing my avi too.

I got an e-mail from a friend earlier saying Stevens (tonight on VERSUS) recounted this from when Laperriere was first injured (paraphrasing)

Stevens: He got hit in the first period and spent the entire second period getting stiched up. In between the 2nd and 3rd periods we're adressing the team when Lappy comes in and starts putting his gear on. Richards then said Coach, there's no way we can let this guy play. Lappy said I'm playing!

Before this series started I told my friend that the Flyers would win in 5 games and he laughed at me. After tonight's win I asked him if he was laughing at my prediction now and all he did was glare. Haha screw the doubters!

Words can't describe how much I respect Lappy. He does anything for this team.

Let's Go Flyers!!!!

This remind anyone of the Markov goal in 2004??

I know it wasn't a series clinching goal or anything, but when he scored it I just had the same feeling when I did back then, that the series was going to go our way!!

Great game, great series (for the Flyers).

Just got home from the game.

I have to say this was the most disappointing playoff game I have been to.

Honestly, Devils fans didn't show up. It is not like I am surprised, but at no point during the game where they loud and half of them hardly had a clue what was going on. I expected more out of them, but I guess that is my mistake.

The actual game was exciting, especially knowing the Flyers scored and the officials having no clue as to if the puck went into the net. Then all the Devils fans calling ******** until they saw the replay on the big screen.

Lappy is the man.

Also, love the fact that the people working the concessions stands were Flyers fans, made the game that much more fun.

such a sweet victory. Had to listen to so much crap about how this team wasnt going to do squat in the playoffs. All the doubters ect ect.

On that note this goes to you Kovalchuk and your guarantee.

btw, if anyone here can make a youtube video the "what if Kovalchuks guarantee came true" History will be made video. Start with the hand shake line and pan the history will be made.

The Devils do have the worst fans in the North in terms of the amount that show up for games. Ask any of the reporters... it's quiet as a church there half the time. On TV you could audibly hear Boosh chants that were far louder than anything the Devils fans were doing. They just aren't a large or active fanbase. The majority of people who live in Jersey are Rangers or Flyers fans and always will be. Having an arena in Newark isn't exactly helping their cause either.

Thoughts from highlights.

1. Man, those were sick saves Boucher had to make. SICK.

2. I love how Roo isn't flashy. He scores his second goal of the night and just points a finger at the guy with the assist. No showing off, just showing UP. Some much older players could learn a thing or two from him!

Yea. I actually had Devils fans explaining to me that it is the teams job to get them excited and they will only cheer if they are winning.

Boosh chants were very audible all game and it was pissing off the Devils fans.

Congrats on beating us

You guys were clearly the better team. you had our number all year and were the last team i wanted to play.

i actually found myself rooting for the rangers that last game of the year, and buffalo when they played us, just to avoid playing you guys

im just sorry we didnt make more of a series out of it

tough break losing carter and gagne but hopefully for you guys they can come back while you are still in the playoffs

i cant say im going to be rooting for you guys(unless maybe you play the penguins) but good luck the rest of the playoffs

At first I was really worried when Lappy got hit, and then I remembered he came back and played after an even worse puck to the face before. That guy is a soldier. I hear hes going to start wearing a visor now

comparing Claude Giroux to Peter Forsberg is unfair to both players.

I'm proud of myself because I'm one of the 2.33% of people that correctly predicted Flyers in 5.
