Did the senators (players) salute the crowd at the end of game four?

Nah, they wouldn't salute the crowd in the second-to-last home game.

There WILL be a game 6. This is not a team that goes down in 5 games.

1. Stay disciplined, which means a lot of things - stay out of the penalty box, keep sound defensive position, and take away the Pens' time and space especially in the neutral zone.

2. Win the five-on-five battle (Pittsburgh is smoking the Sens in this category).

3. Whoever starts in net, make some big saves at key times.

4. Fisher, Foligno, and Karlsson need to start producing.

5. Limit the turnovers.

6. Score the first goal and generate momentum.

An even better list to ensure the series goes the way we want it.

1. Win 3 games in a row.
2. Celebrate.
3. ???
4. Profit!

Gotta love the elimination games. Intensity will be ratcheted up big time for the rest of the series now - can't wait!

Ottawa needs to play with the lead. They force things too much and get burned when coming from behind. The goalies have to watch the short side one timers.

Ian Mendes was just on the Team1200. His opinion was that if you play the percentages then you go with Elliott but if you want to shake things up you go with Brodeur. He thought that if Brodeur had not gotten sick he could have carried the Sens through the long winning streak that Elliott ended up finishing. He basically credited Brodeur for kick starting the Sens on that run and the Sens improved play for making Elliott look good.

If this franchise wants to permanently allienate their goaltenders let them start Brodeur. Right now Brian Elliott is this team's number one - he should be in there. If he's not in there I'll be absolutely disappointed with CC. This team needs some stability in net - BE provided that stability through the majority of the season and has clearly proved he is the number one on this team. These playoffs are a great learning experience for him and quite frankly he's going to have to learn what it feels like to be playing in an actual elimination game.

Doesn't he have four points in four games? I don't think you can ask a 19-year-old rookie defenceman to produce at over a PPG in the playoffs. Wait 'til next year for that.

Also, I think I heard somewhere that Kennedy was out for tonight. Any confirmation?

I feel Bob Hartley gives a damn nice commentary. I remember he told the other rds **** to shut up about Crosby. It was subtle but he did it.
