Also, I think I heard somewhere that Kennedy was out for tonight. Any confirmation?
I hope so, don't want to see his face in our last game.

Karlsson makes it a lot easier to be sens fan.

Chum in over Cheech. I was happy with what Cheech brought last game but I am excited to see Chum get a chance.

I consider this to be a real interesting decision for the organization, as it speaks not so much to a vote of confidence for Leclaire as a real vote of non-confidence for Elliott.

Perhaps, but we don't know the full story. For all we know, Aflie, Phillips and Fisher (are they the 3 letters, I'm not even sure) went to Clouston and told him the locker room as lost confidence in Elliott and they'd rather have Leclaire back there.

If that is the case, what is Clouston supposed to do, alienate his entire team?

It's not like there's an obvious choice for who should start. Elliott has played his worst hockey of the season the past few games, and we don't really have another option.

I'll trust the guy coaching the practices to make this decision. We're probably ****ed regardless of who's in net, but who really cares who's starting given how games 1-4 have transpired?

Or maybe Clouston knows the team has no confidence in Leclaire and put him in and told them the defence to play well because they literally will be the last line of defence.

Either way .. our season ends tonight and Elliott will be back in the 2nd period at some point anyway.

Of course it is, Elliott got lit up so much so that Leclaire is now in and he has probably lost all his confidence, Leclaire will get lit up and have no confidence left. Its going to be a gigantic gong show.

Pascal Leclaire. I don't even...

Look, if he comes out and plays well I'll be happy but the way he's played all year, I'm not counting on it. I really hope to be proven wrong.

More or less we're back to square one. Elliott is a passable backup, but long term is most likely not a #1 goaltender. Leclaire is a huge question mark, but at least we can hope he'll be motivated as he'll be playing for a contract.

On second thought you're right our goaltending situation is ****ed, but really when has it not been ****ed in Ottawa?

ya cause young players dont "learn"

i guess Karlsson is going to be so light for years and year and get destroyed everytime he goes in to the boards for his short career.

wow it amazes me how dumb ppl are on here.

Elliott will learn from this experience. Most rookie goalies have some sort of trouble in their first playoffs. It happens

It doesnt mean though that they cant be better next time.

The Sens are going to have a good game regardless of who plays in net today. They're definitely going to be coming out fighting, knowing if they lose, they're going home.

I personally don't think it's going to matter who is in net today. However, I would have liked to see Elliott play in a do or die situation and get him as much playoff experience as possible before next year.
