well yea, I'll read it but I need to mentally prepare myself for something slightly different. Right now I'm not crazy when ever a Daenerys chapter shows up they are still enjoyable.

You can easily split the series in half starting with AFoC. Books 4 and 5 seriously are just so different.. its weird. You can tell something went on with the writing process (him getting frustrated and splitting it up), it comes across in the actual text. The pace slows down considerably and lots of new characters are introduced.

A Storm of Swords is just such a freaking good book. It's the peak of the series (so far of course). Then you get to Feast of Crows where the pace, characters, writing style, etc all change drastically. It's a big jump.

Like Bennrocks said, its no means a bad book. Just be prepared for the first half of Book 4 to drag a little bit. It picks up and everything begins to tie in once again in time, especially in Dance with Dragons.

I read the first one and it was badass. I'm a huge fan of the show (started watching it before reading the book).

Bennrocks, I wouldn't get worked up about any of that stuff and direct it toward the author, those things are usually publisher-driven and I'm pretty sure that is what happened in this case. The publishing companies can make more by selling two separate books compared to one of double length. The popularity and cult type following of the series makes that type of sales/marketing ploy pretty smart actually.

Only way I'll be able to quit is if I change the password to something I'm going to forget because it's tough to see a thread you want to reply to and not reply.

I'm getting in trouble way too much and I'm starting to think why bother anymore. Eventually I'm going to say something stupid (Because I always need to have the last word) and I'm going to be done.

I'm learning Spanish.

PoG, if that's what you want, then we can't stop you.

But you're a great, very informed poster who'd be sorely missed.

Thank God I didn't go downtown when I was suppose to. Would be driving through all of this right now.

Roommate is right between Arlington and Irving so freaking out right now.

Apparently Denton is under a tornado warning yet not a single broadcast has mentioned anything other than that.

In Arlington right now. Had a test at 12:30, and apparently a tornado touched down less than a mile from me during the test. I'm not entirely sure because the prof had us ignore the tornado warnings lol

Here's a live feed from CBS news. I've been tracking it for a while now. I'm over in Grand Prairie.
