Torts clarifies retaliation policy

John Tortorella spoke to Larry Brooks on Friday. He clarified some of his earlier statements.

I don't know if it's the hour or what but after reading that I don't see why the subject is "Brooks and Torts buried the hatchet". What because they talked and Brooks didn't take any Brooksian cheap shots in one article they're cool now? Am I missing something?

Could a mod change the title to "I Have No Idea What the Original Poster Meant By His Initial Title".

Thanks

Since the two other guys are clueless,I'll change the title.

Torts and Brooks hadn't spoken in four months. Torts wouldn't even acknowledge him. On Friday, they spoke.

Obviously this article was more Torts and Brooks bury the hatchet than an actual article. The whole thing is focused on Torts trying to explain what happened that day. And then at the end Brooks says the Devil's third line pairing had him wanting to see Wade Redden.

I think RB's original title was definitely appropriate.

He waits until weeks after the season to clarify his position? He knows NYers know a BS artist when they hear one. He's changing his tune because he knows the fans and players are on to him.

Line of the Article; "Pine for the days of Wade Redden & Anders Errikson."

Part of why we should keep Dubinsky. He does just about everything.

I read the article before viewing any responses and my initial reaction was, "Torts is talking to Brooks?!". Good to know they got past their BS. The Torts bashing coming from Brooks was getting real old.

Also, I liked what Torts said about not being a soft league where players can't take clean, solid hits.

Nice try but he's not just now clarifying his position to the team he's clarifying it to Larry the Clown.

Torts is the Clown. Just read what is that he had to say. His next word contradicts the previous one. Jeese... it is black only in those cases when it isn't white. However, when it happens to be gray, it is up to us to call it one way or another. Moron.

So because he gave one response without a proper look/ idea of what happened and than gave a different one after he did see it, it's contridicting? Seems pretty simple to me.

If torts had said " I can't say , i didn't see the hit properly" people would be calling for his head for not backing up anyone or "the rules"

One thing i do know, Torts dosen't get beat up at bus stops

Yeah, I think theres a reading comprehension issue here. He says that at first he didn't get a good look at the hit and wasn't sure what to make of it - he doesn't want to send players out to start fights with other players over a good, clean hit. Then he watched the tape and decided that the hit was malicious and dubi did the right thing.

Why are so many people villanizing this guy? He's a hockey coach who has a team littered with horrible contracts and was a shootout victory away from making the playoffs.

Does Torts have a retaliation policy if I knock that schmuck Brooks on his ass?
