Canucks @ Kings 4/25/10 - Canucks Win Series 4-2

It was a fun season. Have fun on the bench and/or a new team, Johnathon Quick and Randy Jones.

Please get Kovalchuk. Please.

Season Over

It was a terrific year. We knew we likely weren't going to go all the way this year. We have many of tweaks to make this offseason and we will be back next year, same time, stronger than ever. Go Kings!

Yup. I don't think I've ever seen a playoff series that was so clearly lost by one player?

Quick single handily beat us.

At least our loss in Round 1 assures us that we'll be going big after Kovalchuk, Kaberle, etc.

Kings v. Nucks - Season Ends, Quickie, Your time is up.

The horrible effort carried over from last game. And well, Quickie your time is up! Terry Murray should be fired for FREAKING PLAYING RANDY JONES IN CRITICAL EFFIN TIMES!!

Good Season overall by the Kings, We exceeded all expectations. Hopefully Doughty could still pull off Norris..

Murray ran Quick into the ground, I only blame him.

Congrats on a great season!

Looking forward to some great Kings/Sharks games in the regular season next year (although was hoping they could have their 1st PO series this year).

Good year. Fact is Luongo won it for his team and Quick lost it for ours. We'll make it further next year.

... Well, it's pretty simple.

One team, Vancouver, left it all on the ice. They spared no one. They didn't hold back anyone who could help them.

The other team, the Kings, held back someone who could have helped. They were forced to play a worn out number one goalie and a rusty backup as a result. And, it killed them.

I hope with my last breath that Manchester wins the AHL championship because it's obvious that was the one the Kings organization REALLY wanted to win. I truly hope they win the Mustard Cup, or whatever it is they get for winning.

Pretty nice to see the organization's priorities are in the right place.

No he didn't. Quick just collapsed when he was under pressure. Simple as that.

So when do the Worlds start? When that final buzzer sounded, that ended my interest in the 2009-10 NHL season. Other than Canada at the Worlds, hockey is over until September.

The Kings played their ***** off here in Game 6, to a man. From Kopitar to Jones and everyone in between.

But JQ was too shaky. Just too shaky and couldn't answer the bell when the rest of the Kings did everything they could to set him up for a solid game.

Don't give Lombo any ideas about going after Nabokov in the off season...although something tells me he is already thinking about it.

Stay classy guys. Great improvement in just one season. A little playoff experience. we made the nucks fans, sweat, *****, curse and piss their pants. That makes it a little less painful. We will be better than them next season.

Respect? For what? It is clear that Quick lost this game for us and lost the series. He is the problem that we need to deal with.

Are you trying to pretend that any of those goalies tonight are good?

I know you are a fanatic quick lover but be honest. Quick lost us this series and this is the end of him as a starting goalie for the Kings.

great, memorable year. i cant wait till october.

several things ive learned: quick is not a playoff goaltender, jones belongs in the AHL, our powerplay will be devastating next yr, doughty is unbelievable, we lack team speed.

At least we got some experience.

Penguins, Blackhawks, etc, all had to start with disappointment. Now we need to go out and get some pieces. Bring up Bernier, sign a Kovalchuck, trade for a Sharp, get a defensive partner for Johnson.

Quick lost us the play-offs..but he is also the reason we made it to the play-offs

..some of you guys have short memories.... we would not be here if it wasn't for Quick...so I say yes show some respect and don't wish the guy dead that is a bit over the top.

It was a great season, honestly I love this group of guys, the core is young and this was more about experience before anything else. Doughty, Kopitar, Brown, Johnson, Simmonds are an amazing core to build around. Now it's time to cut the bad and bring in more positives.

IMO, bad:
Terry Murray
Randy Jones
Sean O'Donnell
Raitis Ivanans
Peter Harrold

I wouldn't mind them re-signing Freddy Modin, he might've played like that just to get a contract but it was nice seeing him work hard. Jack Johnson elevated his game to a new level, I've always been a huge fan of his

Seriously, Quick didn't step up and that was probably the difference. Regardless of his performance tonight, he didn't deserve the right to be back in net for game 6.

I'm pretty bummed to see the Kings season end. Quite pissed, actually.

Hopefully they learn from this and get better for next year...

Congrats on a good year, at least.
