For all we know, when he did that, some yapping was going on that totally justified that regardless of how that game - or the season - turned out. Was it over the top? Yes. Will he get TKO'd in the NHL for crap like this? Yup. Do I love the swagg anyway?

Hell yes.
It was a shootout and I think it was in March (definitely after the all-star break).

There's a time to taunt. When your team is in last place and you're playing one of the better teams in the league, that's not the time.

That to me doesn't show someone having fun. That shows me stupidity and immaturity.

Being honest, the team was lifeless 3/4's of the time. I like how Legein did that. Showed that he was atleast trying. He atleast showed some damn emotion. Half the time, the Phantoms looked like a bunch of zombies.

People are pissed that Legein taunted the other team after scoring a goal? Really?

No offense, but there's times when I wish people would remove stick from ass.

Standings? Who cares about the standings, every game is worth winning on it's own. So his teams not having a great year, should he shamefully skate back to the bench?

I'm sure people were in his ear all game. I don't mind a guy competing and enjoying it when he plays well (including talking some **** to the opposition). Talk is cheap, but if you're gonna chirp someone back, that is exactly the time for it. It's hockey, **** the other team and **** their feelings, and **** being modest if you don't feel like it. You just scored in the shoot out, go ahead and turn your swag on. If they don't like it, let them do something about it.

They did, they won the game. Why give the opposing team even more incentive to win?

If that was the game winning shootout goal, then by all means, show a little swagger (still would be over the top IMO even if it was) when you skate by their bench, but just scoring a goal in the shootout? Sorry, I don't think it was appropriate (or even entertaining for that matter).

And, no, he shouldn't shamefully skate back to the bench, but don't be an a-hole either.

Had a dream the Flyers called up Maroon and he scored twice on his first two shifts. Get Ross outta there and get Maroon in the lineup ASAP!

Kalinski should help out a lot better than Nodl did. He's a better fit for this series.

I don't think Nodl did too bad. He was working in the corners, knocked someone over. Certainly wasn't put in a position to fail.

Yeah, Nodl did pretty well. Ross on the other hand I would say wasn't quite cutting the mustard. Leave Nodl, Ross out, Kalinski in.

I don't really think Nodl did too bad either from what I saw.

I think Kalinski would just seem to fit better since he throws his body around more and from what I remember, he's good at riling up the opponent and drawing some penalties.

edit: yeah I'd probably take Ross out. He doesn't really belong in this series at all.

Why are we doing Briere at center again?

Looks ok other than the fact that Lappy is injured, Darroll Powe is not, and...for the love of all that is good and holy, switch Briere and Giroux. Personally, I'm down with something more like...

Carcillo-Richards-Leino/Briere
JVR-Giroux-Leino/Briere
Hartnell-Powe-Asham
Kalinski-Betts-Nodl

I'm not totally opposed to switching Hartnell and Carcillo should Hartnell somehow show that he might be somewhat capable of producing offense. I'm also not totally opposed to switching Kalinski and Powe should Kalinski be looking good. For the sake of my eyesight, I am wholeheartedly opposed to Briere playing center again any time in the near future. I'd rather have Helen Keller handling business down low in the d-zone.

I like the way you think! Powe would work at 3rd Center too..

I would love to have Briere and Giroux paired up again. They had some serious magic last season/playoffs.

And I haven't seen much JVR with Richards, so that might be good. JVR seems to like sticking in front of the net as of late, ala Knub.
