We already tried Kris Beech, he was a failure.

A diver? No thanks! I'd rather be the 30th in standings than watch that.

Why the Beech hate? He was a better failure then Blunden and Novotny. He couldn't skate, but he produced and was a plus player during his epic fail days here. I wish more players failed as well as he did when we call them up.

Oh please, there's diving pretty much every game.

That "fight night" vid already posted says it all really.

First an ugly kneeing, than 3 secs later someone barely touches him and he drops dead straight away. Jeez.

Hmmm, interesting player there. Could very well be a replacement for Boll since this guys sounds like he can do the same things Boll did, plus score more than a couple goals each season. And of course with no offers to Boll so far to re-sign him, it does make you wonder if that is the plan.

According to everything we've read, so far, this guy is more of a pest than a fighter.

You know what they say - any publicity is good publicity. I hate douches who dive and hit dirty, but I could see a potential positive if he gets more people talking about the Jackets.

As a LW looking for a mixture of skill and physicality on our 3rd line, I'd rather we went with Torres though unless he demands more than $2.5 million per year.

What would be the upside of people talking about Jackets as a team that dives and goes out hitting knees on purpose?

The fact that they'd be talking about the Jackets at all?

I'm not thrilled at the idea either, but, enh. We'll see.

I don't think a Swedish diver is going to get people in Columbus talking about hockey. I mean do you seriously want this town to believe that the Blue Jackets are actually a swimming team?

Much ado about nothing. He'll probably come over for camp then head back to Sweden after a few weeks.

Hey, we could always sign him, then melt the ice and see what he can do in a swimming pool.

I admit I haven't looked at his "dives". But at the same time, I see players exaggerate penalties all the time to draw penalties. So who cares. The NHL has diving rules and they'll make quick work of him if he's goes outside the acceptable diving that already happens. If he even makes the team.

So much drama over this and it's not even a story.

Thörnberg ain't joining the BJs. He wants a one-way deal.

Well, we've got enough headaches with these type of issues (Filatov), so I'm not too hurt. Watching how Brunnstrom has panned out in Dallas suggests these one-way deals on untested (in North America) players in a cap league are not such a good idea.

Agreed Capn. I understand why he wants a 1 way, we just can't take that risk, and I doubt many teams can.

Brunnström didn't get a one-way, though.
