Looks like Sacco will be an assistant for Scott Gordon on the US team. That'll probably be a good learning experience for him as well.

Hopefully he can learn how to NOT sit on a lead.

Confidently saying Duchene is gonna be the only future NHL star is iffy at best. But the only one worthy of a top 6 spot? That's one of the dumbest things I've heard in a while. Most, if not close to all, NHL teams would kill for players like Stastny, Stewart, and Mueller in their top 6.

Yip, Jones, and even O'Reilly have top six potential as well.

It's a pretty big thing in Europe, tho it's been becoming less and less significant after NHLers were allowed in to the Olympics in 98.

Still, it's country vs country hockey. Who doesn't like that?

It should be noted that they aren't going to take a bunch of players from one team.

Good for Galiardi. Who knows, he might be a useful contributor to an Olympic team for the US somewhere down the line.

does this mean that for all international competitions Galiardi can only play for the US now? I might be wrong but I feel like this was the case for Stastny too.

Yes, and he did attend the US WJC summer camp back in 2007.

Does Gali consider himself to be more Canadian or more American? My gut tells me that he considers himself more Canadian but knows he probably has little shot of ever being on the Canadian roster so he chooses to suit up for the Americans.

Even though he has dual citizenship, I don't think Stastny would play for Canada over U.S., he said as much after he was selected for the Olympic team.

I'm not sure what the rules are as far as T.J. being able to play for Canada instead of the U.S. in later years, though.

Seeing as how he was born and raised in Canada, I'd say he considers himself a Canadian.

Does anyone know if these games (US at least) will be shown on NHLN here in America?

I'd like to watch some of them if I could.

Last year they showed a bunch, so I am assuming they will again...
