Eriksson - Bäckström - Hörnqvist Bäckis to work on a line with 2 scorers like he does for Caps. Sedin - Sedin - Samuelsson It is always all about the twins and their extra player. Hopefully they keep up their chemistry. Zetterberg - Påhlsson - Alfredsson This line is up against the best of what ever the other team got. Steen - Berglund - Sjöström Mostly a energy line but players from here will fill in here and there and used in special teams.
Brunnström - Bergfors extra forwards since it in todays game is mostly about speed.
The talent level must be high. I chose Huselius instead of a Holmström or a defensive forward, as Axelsson etc. Davidsson and Alfredsson can take defensive roles if necessary. Davidsson (SEL points leader) and Weinhandl (KHL points leader) plus Wallin are very dependable players as supporting cast.
So this is my team now when Franzén is injured: (includes KHL, Weinhandl, and SEL, Davidsson, stat leaders)
Reasoning: If Forsberg is fit, he will make Weinhandl even more of a scoring machine than he is with Mårtensson as he has done with several players. And since Weinhandl only belong on the third line we will move Forsberg down there too. Huselius is underrated and works well with Nash and will probably work well with Forsberg.
Eriksson takes the spot on the second line as a goalscorer that orginially belonged to Franzén. H.Sedin is one of the best playmakers and will make Eriksson score alot. Sjöström-Påhlsson-Steen. Energy-line. PKers. Extremly important line.
I want one physical/defensive defenseman on each pairing. Enström is also underrated and is one the first pair in Atlanta and is great on the powerplay. Kronwall, Murray and to some extent Oduya I think is essential in an Olympic played in Canada and on the smaller ice. We need guys that can step up and put people on their butt.
Goalies = no-brainer.

As it stands now, assuming Forsberg will atleast be around 80%..
I made the lines somewhat equal so that other teams can't use tactical warfare like putting in their first line against our weakest - all these lines are decent defensively.
Then Holmstrom, Bergfors & Sjostrom will all take turns in the "big line", leaving Pahlsson with more time on the PK.
Still in the hunt: (nominated among the 69 and playing well)
Players in bold are doing well, personally, right now.
