Should Boullion still be an option?

There was a lot of talk about him before this past season, ended up with Nashville for 1 yr, $750K and put up the following:

81 Gms., 19+ mins/game, 3g-8a-11p, +5, 162 hits

If Redden is indeed sent to Hartford and Gilroy doesn't progress, could he be a solution as a cheap, 3rd pairing veteran guy? He doesn't provide any offense, but with DZ and Staal progressing offensively, and Rozi/Girardi also capable of adding some offense to the mix it may not be necessary.

This obviously depends on how serious the team is about bringing up Sangs and/or Sauer for next season as well.

Just something to consider in my opinion.

Def. would consider him if they need a cheap 3rd pairing guy. Averaged just a hair under 20 minutes per game this season.

I would say sounds like a great idea. If it's a 3yr's or more I say run far, far away.

Mostly it would be probably to buy us a yr as a stopgap until a rookie is ready again. I'm not sold on the fact that Sangs / McD / etc. are ready this yr. Certainly not the latter.

Could be an option.

without redden and if we were to move rozy, he would be someone to look at for sure.

without redden only and assuming gilroy isnt ready or isnt better than cube- which he isnt im afraid, yes i would offer him a 1 yr deal.

he's a pretty decent little player. little being the salient word.

if we do sign him hell have another little person to hang with once the norwegian midget signs his deal.

so much for team size.

almost all our size experiments (Voros, Hall, Ward) failed miserably.

Who the hell is cube?

I dont care as long as its for a #5. Pushes Girardi to #3 which isnt ideal, but beggers cant be choosers.

Cube is Bouillon. They call him that because he is short and stocky like a cube. He is actually a very good fighter and he is very strong.

Yes. This is exactly the type of player we should be looking for on a one year deal. Keep a seat warm until one of Sangs, McD, Sauer or whomever steps up and grabs a role full time.
