Wings Round 1 MVP?

I'm going with Zetterberg. 6G+5A=11P and played great defensively

The question should be, who was our MVP after Zetterberg?

IMO:

Filppula
Datsyuk
Stuart

Zetterberg for sure.

I maintain Kronwall's shot block was the turning point tonight on the 5-on-3. Stuart shortly making it 4-1 thereafter pretty much did it.

Surprise, surprise, we once again get critical 5-on-3 kills. I believe we had one in Game 4 too that could've changed the tide of the series.

Zetterberg no doubt.

I also want to give Bertuzzi a shout out. He had a great series. Strong along the boards and really good in front of the net.

It was another series where Z had a point in every single game. No doubt he carried the mail for the Red Wings.

Stuart is a +6 with 6 points in 7 games. Amazing, I really think he'll be the future no.1 dman in Detroit ahead of Kronwall. He played 25+ min tonight.

He only screwed up in game 6 with that giveaway on the PP. Otherwise he was phenomenal this series and is scoring clutch goals lately.

Howard in the 1st round

So what do you folks think of Howard in the 1str round?
Was he good, bad or something in between?
And what do you expect from him in the 2nd round?

BTW, congratulations to him on his 1st playoff series win.

Hank was a champ on the scoresheet but Pavel did so many great things throughout the series. One of the biggest difference between this year and last...the Wings have a healthy and effective Pavel Datsyuk.

Stuart has to be mentioned as well. He has 6 points and is +6. Other than that terrible giveaway in game 6, he has been great.

He was decent. The thing I liked was when he let in a few goals he didn't seem to lose confidence. He was always able to follow up an off afternoon/night with a strong performance. Even Dom Hasek - for example - would have a bad night then shut the door during the next game. So in that regard it was good series for Howard in my opinion.

For me, it's gotta be #13. Hank's a close 2nd... but while Nick may wear the C, the real leader is #13. We saw it last night, after Pavel set the tone and broke through, the whole team responded. Hey, talk about inspirational, he even convinced me to trust my eyes to Dr. Rahmani!

Zetterberg, there is no question. But Datsyuk and Howard are worthy contenders. Honorable mentions to Stuart, Lidstrom, Filppula.

Shout out to Bertuzzi and Abdelkader too. Bert finally got his goal and had some great assists too. He's playing like he wants that contract. Abdelkader helped a lot too.

Pavel, Homer and Franzen ARE supposed to be the first line, although Z's line played more minutes. But yes, Z's line was the best throughout. Fil is breaking through for us, which is great to see.

It's gotta be Zetterberg. Pav played great and I thought the defensemen looked really good all series. Howard played well enough to win, if he can play like he did in game 7 all playoffs the Wings have a good chance to go deeper!
