Just read that we will break out the old powder blue road unies on May 14th at Milwaukee to help the Brewers celebrate their 40th anniversary.

He's always an optimist, which is good for a pitcher. Seems like he had more pain last year than he let on. So let's hope that's all fixed for opening day.

Are we surprised?

The knee injury at the beginning of the year was a bad sign...and its not shocking, as I've seen him talk about, that he may have aggravated other stuff compensating for the knee.

The other interesting thing will be the 5th starter job between Moyer and Kendrick, that is if Moyer is healthy. IMO they should try and have Moyer retire, I really doubt he has anything left.

That's probably a pretty safe assumption.

He had like 2 surgeries in the offseason and had to be placed in the hospital for the surgery on his groin. There is no way he is close to 100%. I agree they should try and make him retire and make him a pitching coach for this season or something

He isn't retiring with guaranteed money sitting there.

I don't remember where, or maybe I heard it on the radio, but Moyer is throwing and should be close to 100%.

Moyer won't retire. He's not the kind of player to think that's how they can best help a team while still under contract.

I'm not too worried about Lidge. Last year was about as bad as it can get and the year before couldn't have been better, so even if he's only in the middle this year we're still in damn good shape.

If it's anywhere near the presence of that picture it'll be huge. Maybe it'll even move.

Edit: And I'll say it...Roy Halladay's a good lookin' dude.
