Spoke too soon. They have a good chance to tie it up.

HAHA! The Caps decide to play with 3 minutes left.

I wouldn't put Varlamov back in. Just go with 6 men off the faceoff.

I said it in the beginning of the playoffs - this Caps team while talented is still too young, and the vets they have are not really seasoned playoff vets.

The Caps blew it, but again, this may teach the youngsters what it takes to succeed when its on the line. I feel for Ovie, great player, one day he'll get his ring.

Caps got out coached and out goalie'd, if that's a word.

I can't wait to see all the threads on the main board, "AO is Not a Big Game Player" etc.

this is kinda depressing cause the habs could do it last year but we couldnt last year, but i guess they had a better offense and the momentum

Montreal played a team game, and they had the depth to use players appropriately. This is a good case study on why a few stars and limited depth after that is not the way to go. Rather depth and balance that is used appropriately can go a long way.

Plekanec, Camalerri, Gomez, Gionta, Kostityn, and Markov; with even guys like Bergeron adressing depth on the PP, and players like Gill, and Gorges used to shutdown key players. Nobody was used out of position like we have been doing for years, and like we will continue to do if we go hard after a Kovalchuk w/out adressing needs(center, scoring winger who may be Aasen, and a veteran shutdown-dmen). You lock all that $$ on Kovalchuk and you'll have no room to make other moves.

And those who said it would be MTL and PHIL is wrong. MTL was 8 and PIT was 4. MTL will face PIT while PHIL faces BOS.

Go Habs Go!

My DC friends on Facebook are DEVASTATED. The local feed showed a number of grown men BAWLING in the stands. I love every single minute of it. I feel like the Rangers just won something, hahah.

Boy Semin no goals, let's not sign him next year. Sure glad we didn't trade for Heatley too.

Teams facing each other in finals three consecutive times?

Now there is still a strong possibility that the Pens and Wings can face each other again...I would HATE this very much, but I always wondered how many times this has happened in the NHL but even in all major sports in general. I was thinking it could be none at all...or it could be a good amount considering some leagues only had a few teams in the beginning...anybody know?

Unbelievable result - coming back down 3-1 against the top team. I think Semin is gone.

Boudreau should be fired on the spot. All that talent, and only a 2nd round and 1st round exit to show for it in the past two years.

To put it into perspective, it's what the Rangers did two seasons before this one, and we ***** and moan to no end about our team. Imagine having a team as loaded as the Caps and have this happen? I can't even begin to fathom how the true Caps fans of the world feel.

How we felt last year is not even close to how depressed Caps fans are..

They were the BEST team in the NHL AND had a 3-1 lead AND lost to a team that barely made the playoffs...

Rangers were the underdog the whole way and nobody expected them to take it to seven games nevermind be up 3-1

Agreed, can't root for that team and despise the fanbase.

Habs/Pens is going to be unbearable, I hope both teams destroy each other.

Flyers/Bruins is no picnic to root for either. I honestly don't have much of a rooting interest in the Eastern Conference this year. Hopefully whoever comes out of the West will win it all.

Detriot and Montreal played each other 3 times from 1953 to 1956. That's about it, I think.
