Jack Johnson's stock has gone way up while Wheeler's has gone way down. Get ready for some incredulous Kings fans.

James Neal is too young and promising to be included in a Wideman swap. Get ready for some incredulous Stars fans.

Make it Toronto's 2011 1st and the prospect at very least a Mikko Lehtonen type and I'm interested.

How about Jack Johnson and a 2nd and a 3rd in this years draft for Wheeler and your second over all pick?

Sound fair?

See original post for comp.

And Jack Johnson has proven himself and is easily worth more than Neal so ergo, JJ is worth the second overall also!

So the Kings are supposed to trade a defenseman who put up nearly the same points as the forward in the deal?

Not a chance unless JFJ rolls into LA or Dallas in the near future.

No, the Kings would be putting JFMJ for the second overall pick in the draft.

Yep, I know but it would be sweet to see us pull TS with the number two overall. Then we could sign a Hamhuis or a Volchenkov to be a poor mans replacement for JMFJ.

How great is it to have to potential future HOF'ers on our team and a few dead solid kids in the wings? Darn fine.

How about LA and Dallas avoid Boston altogether and swap Johnson and Neal? Oh wait, I forgot this thread is solely about improving the Bs. My bad

I'd rather have JJ than Neal. But only just.

Both are bad. But, no, neither guy is worth the 2nd overall pick.

I could see this happening if RFA talks falter between Nieuwy and Neal, though I really, really hope it doesn't.

Also, I think the Stars could get more for Neal than just JMFJ, though he's obviously no slouch.

Neal's shown more promise, though, and should warrant a greater return.

I'd say they're about even. JJ has really taken that step we've all been waiting for him to. Before this season I would have agreed with you, but not now.

I agree with this. As a Sens fan, as much as I'd love to see that second overall pick leave our division (and our conference), its not worth it to the B's.

I'm shocked to see that everyone is against the neal trade.
Heck, Kovalchuk ( and salmela) brought a return similar to that ( Oduya, Bergfors, cormier , 1st)

I didn't realize Neal had more value than kovy.

Kovy had ~1 month + playoffs left on his contract, Neal is a RFA VERY different comparison.
