Let's just hope Rask suffers the same fate as Price in his second career playoff series - although I seriously doubt it.

First off, RJ Umberger = Nostradamus... late in the season he said (roughly) Caps will get beat, they don't play the game the right way."

Imagine if somehow Pronger and Chara end up in an epic fight at centre ice...

Hope Boosh has some magic left, going to be a tough series and those ex-Flyers like Recchi always haunt us. If Richie keeps going and Roo and Briere can fire up their offence again I like our chances.

while the bruins definitely are not a soft team by any stretch, I do remember watching bergeron and savard both getting taken out in respective years by two teams, with little to no fall out to either club... so i'll take that with a grain of salt.

That said, I can't wait for this series, I hope its hard fought and less penalty filled than our last series. I just have a gut feeling this one will be reminiscent of the 2004 Toronto series, which just happened to follow a round one 4-1 victory over the debbies as well .

Chara won't be involved in any fights within the first 58 minutes of the game.

The Flyers will have to out-defense the Bruins, they do have trouble scoring, but they also get Marc Savard back, and their lineup of centers is that much more formidable when adding in a guy of Savard's caliber -- under the assumption that he's full boar from Game 1.

And don't think that his return won't give the Bruins a jolt themselves.

Baha. Well I'll just say that my fiance is from Bucks County and most of the people I have met down there are very nice.

Here's to a clean, physical, injury-free series.

Ain't it funny how things go that way sometimes? Gotta love sports (especially hockey) for that very reason.

Can't wait to see the boys back in action. Seems like it's been forever since the NJ series ended.

I remember them being pretty obnoxious last year when they won the East.

Living smack dab in the middle of Bruins country this is going to be alot of fun. The Habs/Caps series wasnt more then 5 minutes old and my boss was starting on right away with the your going down bs. The smack talk at work is gonna be fun.
Anyway I would put Pronger right on Savard. Test his resolve. hit him, knock him down. be physcial with him. See if hes willing to compete.
I think you are going to see a long hard fought series. its going to be physcial, its going to be nasty. I cant wait. Its been too damn long since we have played in the playoffs.

Hopefully we don't lose anymore guys during this series or we might as well rename ourselves to the Phantoms.

Lived right in the middle of that from the time I was 5 till I was 18...in high school, I had on of maybe the 10 *********, oldest, cheapest cars in the student lot. It was a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta with under 60,000 miles on it.

But it's a beautiful place, if you like corny self-loathing almost-millionaire alcoholics and their trophy wives.

Honestly, what other team would we want right now though? I think its in our best interest to play Boston and slap them around a little like we should have on the Winter Classic.

Who, Matty Timander? Farthest thing from "one of our tough guys".

And don't put any stock in Yahoo or ESPN team boards, those places are full of mooks. They might have even been laughing that Randy effing Jones threw a check for once in his life.

I just want the injured guys back. We are really going to miss what Lappy brings in this series.

The pace they've kept with some of the Pens fans since the Savard incident is impressive in all the wrong ways.

Not automatic, but in this series it would really help. Chara would be matched up against Carter and Richards and Giroux wouldn't have a lot to worry about concerning who they would face all series long. Add in that Chara hasn't looked too good against Staal last year, the Flyers would be my clear cut favorite.

It's going to be difficult, the Bruins have 3 scoring lines with Savard back in the lineup, we only have 2 d-pairings I would trust to shut them down. Parent better step it up.
