Can we get this guy a speedskating coach? He's got crazy skills, but think how much better he could make them work for him if he was another Steve Sullivan or Martin St. Louis out there.

He's been working on his skating for years, I think he is who he is at this point.

maybe he'll be a lot better than the Hudler who played here 2 years ago...hopefully a year of top line minutes in Russia helped him more than a year in the NHL would have

Even Hudler's skills are overrated. His shot isn't that hard, really. He's not a deker like Datsyuk or Zetterberg.
But he has instincts that are really, really good.

IMO, he could quarterback an NHL powerplay because he just knows where to go with the puck.

You just put a smile on my face.

When you consider the alternative, by all means, please bring him back. For the love of all that is holy, bring Hudler back.

I love it how many people are already bashing a guy who played solid for us and has an uncanny offensive skill we dont got much of: LIKES TO SCORE, WANTS TO SHOOT.

He's a year older, more exeprience and stronger. Why dont we wait to bash him when we actually see the product.

Noted. Next time you consider posting about something that hasn't happened yet, refer to what you just said, and don't.

yes but Hudler @ $2.8 million > Williams @ $1.5 million ? There is no question that Hudler is the better player, but the cap hit is just leaving me a bit sour.

Hudler needs to score 60 points to make up for his deficits in my opinion. I think that he can do that but it's obviously far from a sure thing.

i always had this impression of Hudler totally resenting Babcock...

if he comes back it says good things about his attitude, and i think it reflects well on the wings organization too

hudler was sort of a prodigy at one point in his life, no? it must have been difficult for him to accept that hes not really even an all star

wings desperately need more offensive weapons though, we should be happy to have him back

Kindl will be with the club next year. Where Hudler fits in cap wise is unknown. We'll have to wait to see what/if Lidstrom re-signs for.

I don't think they want to give up on him with out every seeig what he can do.

The other two I have no problems losing if it helps get Hudler back in the line-up.

Wasn't it reported that Holland was going to go over and try and convince Hudler to come back this year. I believe I also read that both Holland and Bab's were in contact with him. If this is true I would have to believe that Holland has a plan and believes he has no problem fitting him in under the cap or why would he bother.
