This reminds me of the Helm trade proposals this season (made by fans of other teams). I'm not saying that Helm and Subban are comparable, but the same concept applies. Helm/Subban is (currently or not) much to valuable to Detroit/Montreal, for the franchise to consider any trade talk.

In Helm's last season in the AHL he put up 13+24=37 -10 as a forward

In PK's first and only season in the AHL he put up 18+35=53 +46 as a defenseman

Subban is much more valuable to Montreal than Helm ever was to the Wings

Sorry the last time habs fans talked about their "Franchise" player, it was Carey Price. And the price tag wasn't even straight up for Lecavalier. You have a knack for inflating the value of your home town heroes. I'll call Subban a franchise player once he's played a few allstar level seasons in Montreal. Right now your franchise type players are Markov, Cam, and Halak.

I qualify that I'm not comparing them, yet someone goes and compares them.

I stated that the same concept applies. Helm is too valuable to Detroit to trade much like Subban is too valuable to Montreal to trade. To the nine hells with whose more valuable. Get it?

I dont mean to piss in your Cheerios, but Helm would be traded in a heartbeat for the right deal.

Like say, one that involved Subban.

Helm is very much an expendable commodity. You can live with his talents until a deal is offered that includes him and upgrades the team.

Helm will never be anything more than a 3rd line energy center who plays the PK. Dont get me wrong, thats a friggin awesome career and an invaluable asset to any team.

But a fillable role, nonetheless.

Subban is not available from MTL, nor will DRW try 2 pry him from them so this is pure fantasy.

If you want him on DRW u can do it in NHL 10 or 2k10 but thats it

you compared the value of the two to their own teams. i replied saying that subban is more valuable to montreal than helm is to detroit.

Indeed, the right deal, not a deal. I don't disagree here.

Subban is the only decent prospect the Habs have. I don't think they'd let him go. Plus they would probably end up with a riot in Montreal if they did. Fans really took a liking to the chap over there.
