You want to try that again, next time maybe you won't look like less of a tool.

The thing that gets me is the comparisons to teams that have had financial trouble in the past. I don't claim to know everything (and feel free to e-slap if I'm wrong) but I would imagine those teams (Pitt, Ottawa, Buffalo, etc) managed to make money at least ONE season they were in existence.

The Coyotes have lost money every single year they have been in Phoenix.

I commend the NHL for sticking up for this team, just like they did all of the others. God knows what would have happened had the Sens moved, and look at what has happened in Pittsburgh the last couple years.

However, there needs to come a point where you say 'enough is enough'.

I also don't believe Winnipeg is near as close to getting a team as some may think and that 'The 'Peg', JR and Ice Edge are basically all being used as tools against each other for the NHL to gain leverage in this situation.

I would love to see the "Chicago is Phoenix" on Youtube.

If the Blackhawks were for sale, they would have so many people wanting to buy they wouldn't know what to do.

Including Reinsdorf.

Winnipeg doesn't deserve a team any more than Seattle, Quebec, Houston or Panama does.

Of all the arguments for relocating this is the dumbest. It's driven solely by emotion and bias.

Seriously, this whole affair makes me want to scream.

One day some multi-billionaire(s) is(are) going to capitalize on the way the NHL dangles and sucks dry canadian fans by pandering to the elusive (and non-existant might I add) "new to the sport fans" in the lower US, or Mexico, or Morocco, or where ever else Hockey has absolutely no business being, and they're going to start a rival Canadian league that is going to go right at the heart of the NHL: The Canadian fan base.

They're gonna build their own buildings.
They're gonna have money and media power backing them.
And they're gonna wipe the floor with the NHL b/c someone is finally going to realize that there is money to be made in Canada by actually serving the interests of the fans as opposed to running after some eyeballs for ad money in Glendale AZ (no offense intended to Glendale fans... just making a point... to be honest, you're being used too by the NHL.

Mark my words. It's going to happen. They're gonna realize that you can makes loads of money AND not use your fan base. And it is going to be sweet.

You Jets fans on this board are becoming ridiculous.

ALL FOUR GAMES WERE SOLD OUT!

Yes Canada DOES deserve more teams. I agree but not at the expense of relocation. Especially a mismanaged market like Phoenix.

I feel for you guys. i mean all of them getting you hopes up only to possibly get shot down but jeez, show some mutual respect to the desert, the city and the franchise.

We don't hate you, stop hating us.

Hockey does work here. period.

It's clear as day that the NHL will use the threat of relocating to Canada as a fallback in order to get their way in failing markets.

It's why I won't believe an NHL team is returning to Winnipeg until they are playing in the MTS Centre.

Blocked out the memory of that oh so wonderful press conference where it's declared that Winnipeg cannot support an NHL team under the current economic circumstances?

Since when did they use other fans attending a game as a statistical figure?

Oh wait, they haven't.

Then why are they projecting losses next year? $20 to $25 million if memory serves.

Doesn't sound like it is working too well. Period.
