It's up to $8.50 here in Rogers. The screens are never packed, even on opening nights and the sound quality is better. I'm big into sound quality, because honestly, there's nothing much you can do to improve a theatre *screen*. Even digital projectors weren't that big of an increase in quality.

Anyway...

I've went to that Cinemagic in St. Michael, that one is pretty nice.

I've gone to Rogers a lot too, $8.50 is a lot better than Arbor Lakes, plus Arbor Lakes is ALWAYS packed.

It was although the green sky that preceded it was a little disturbing.

Is that the one off 94 which has the IMAX?

Yes it is. It's got like a bar and a restaurant in it too I think. It's kind of a cool place.

Yeah I've definitely been there before then.

And wow, did the US get screwed.

I didn't get to see it, but everyone is complaining about it so it must've been super bad.

While we're talking movies...

I'm going to (re) setup the home theater tonight. Playing COD made me miss my surrounds, so I'll just assume the 14 month old will knock the speakers over a couple times then learn.

Nice setup, bought when I still worked at Best Buy...Athena (by Klipsch), two front towers, matching bookshelves for surrounds, matching center channel. Really nice Yamaha receiver (need to find the remote to run the setup), 37" Insignia 1080p LCD, 360...not bad.

Also, I dug the Nordeast, actually one of the better cheap beers. Still a lot of that corn meal taste to it, but more hops, malt, and carbonation than regular Grain Belt...tasted a little sweeter too.

On the one hand they were fortunate to come back from 2-0 down, but on the other, the replay shows 3 US players being held and a 4th being fouled, and the call goes to Slovenia?! The officiating today has been abominable, and Germany got screwed as well by a card-happy ref. Too bad, because the officiating had been pretty good up until today.

Jarick: Glad to hear you enjoyed the Nordeast. To each their own.

Bookman: I don't feel as bad for Germany given they were the beneficiary of a bad red card to Australia (still would have won but piled on two more goals afterward), but it's still hard to believe how bad that US call was.

Yeah, I never feel sorry for Germany, but as a neutral I hate to see the ref become part of the story when watching a match. Let them play.

They interviewed Bob Bradley after the game, and still nobody on the US even knew what the call was for at that point.

That Mali Ref should be killed. If we were England, or worse Brazil/Spain, it would of already happened. The US is sooo handicapped in international play its not even funny.

Unfortunately, with school being out, they start filtering in even during that time. It's best during the school year for lack of kiddies.
