What will their roster look like? I've seen threads for almost every other team, except for them. Will Antropov and Pushkarev be on the roster?

They are the only team to not have their roster published by the IIHF yet. They play at 9am Sunday (EDT), so expect their roster to be put up sometime on Saturday.

As it is, they will most likely be fighting to not be relegated, and I have my doubts about that. They are destined to play in Division I next year, regardless of who's on the team.

I'll give you Italy. They are heading back to Division I next year, but I think France could probably outplay the Kazakhs. Granted, all three of these teams are going to the relegation round, along with (surprisingly) the US or Finland. US/Finland isn't going to be relegated (at least I would think so), and France has been on an upswing the last few years, even without Huet. That only leaves the two newly promoted teams.

So I can assume the USA should be able to handle this one???

Until looking at their roster I didn't realize that Shafranov is still playing in North America at 41 (in the IHL). Also interesting to note that two other players from Kazakhstan, Puskarev and Kuznetzov were high round draft picks.

And Pushkarev just sucks too much I guess. His career has taken a big downward turn.
