Finally a game, where we´re the underdog. That´s what we need.

You weren't the underdog against Russia?

I'm optimistic for this game. The Finns have learnt from the game against Denmark in the preliminary round and will go with the right engagement in this game. They will surely not underestimate Slovakia.

So I think Finland wins with 2 goals difference, hopefully. They could also dispose about the better goalie, the best slovakian goalie is still engaged in the NHL playoffs.

But it will not be an easy game for Finland.

Yes, we were. But that was a long time ago. And it was actually our best game (at leats the 3rd period) and we were one post away from getting a point from them

Slovak lines should be like this:

Bartovič-Podkonický-Kukumberg
Šatan-Macho-Pánik
Svatoš-Zagrapan-Čiernik
Dravecký- Bulík-Tatar

Vehanen with a knee injury. Has to rest for a couple of days but after that could play in the tournament.

MTV3

I'm going to predict a 4-2-win. A close match yet again. Sisu, leijona, perkele and so on.

I hope Finland will take this one, which makes Denmark ready for the quarterfinal, even before the game against Belarus.

Denmark (chance of quarterfinals: 99%)
Denmark is close to making the quarterfinals for the first time in history. Their six points are enough in 99 percent of the cases. In the case of a three-way tie with Finland and Germany, Finland will be the odd team out due to the worst head-to-head records between the three teams. To increase the odds to a full 100 percent, Denmark needs either one point against Belarus or a Slovak win over Germany.
Really?

We need 3 points to grow total to 9points. With a win we can make sure that we're in the quarters. If we lose then its tough because next opponent is good old opponent for us Russia, but their team is allmost as good as their olympic team.

Slovakians are allways tough, everyone thinks they're underdog but i've been used from kid to Slovakia who is a tough one, allways one of the toughest. I dont see anything sure in this game, i think we've got good changes if we play 4 real and physichal and full speed, but if we dont give our best work-morale out there then its going to be harder game.

Denmark is anyway qualified for quarterfinal even if they lose against Belarus.

In the worst case for Denmark, Finland, Germany and Slovakia could finish qualifying round with 6 points like Denmark, if Slovakia wins in OT against Finland and Germany in OT against Slovakia and Finland loses against Russia in regular time.

But in this case Slovakia would miss quarterfinal because they had only won 3 points from the games of these four teams against each other. Finland had won 4 points (3 against Germany, 1 against Slovakia), Germany also 4 points (3 against Denmark, 1 against Slovakia) and Denmark 6 points (3 against Finland, 3 against Slovakia.)

In all other possible cases either Germany, Finland or Slovakia would miss quarterfinal.

Excuse me, but how does this work? Finland currently has 6 points, and if they get one from Slovakia, they'd still have six? How is that possible?

Denmark has not yet secured a place in the quarter-finals.

I heard them saying Jokinen so I guess it works

It's "weird" that the swedes are the only ones with horrible mispronounciations of finnish names...

Danes, slovaks, russians, frenchmen, canadians and even germans are MUCH better at pronouncing them correctly.

Sorry, yes you are right I forgot that Finland would win 1 point if they lose in OT against Slovakia. If Finland loses in OT against Slovakia Denmark is qualified for quarterfinal, if Finland loses in regular time they are in big trouble because they would very likely miss the quarterfinal.

But Denmark is anyway qualified for quarterfinal even if they lose against Belarus. In the worst case for them Germany and Slovakia could achieve 6 points, if Slovakia wins in OT against Finland and Germany in OT against Slovakia. But then still Denmark would be ahead of Slovakia because they won 3 points from the games against each other, Slovakia only 1.

If Finland wins no matter in OT or regular it is either Germany or Slovakia who miss quarterfinal.

The slovakians are traditionally good at transitions between offense and defense and masters at counter attacking.

The finnish defense needs to watch out with getting caught in offensive stances.

Did Komarov get a penalty for that hit? Looked clean to me, shoulder to shoulder from what I saw.
