I'm in the minority. I find the name Barons to be boring and blah...

Itll probably be the Oilers logo with Barons instead of Oilers

It would be nice if it was the old McFarlane jerseys

I've been using 'Oil Barons' for the name of my fantasy hockey team for the past 4 years. Win?

It's a cool name - plays off the region and the parent franchise. It's an alliteration short of being perfect.

Oklahoma City - history of being a major cattle stockyard and ranching "headquarters" for the region...thus home of "Cattle Barons"

Oklahoma City - history of being a city involved in the oil boom early in the past century...thus home of "Oil Barons"

Parent club - the Oilers

Come on, the name is so suitable on multiple levels!

nice name, don't mind it at all.

I'm looking forward to a fresh start for the farm team, this is a step in the right direction.

Solid name. Roughnecks is more suited to lacrosse or arena football.

These jerseys would be pretty rad in copper and blue. Different, but unique. I'm sure they'll go to more of a traditional uni with orange and blue or copper and blue.

Also, that really does look like Alexandre Daigle.

As someone who lives in Oklahoma, I hate that name. I really wish they would have just stuck with the old CHL team name OKC Blazers.

Just to add to what someone mentioned earlier: There were a lot of reports that when the NBA team moved here, that a lot of the businessmen wanted the "Barons" as the team name. However, the owner was crazy about the name Thunder, so he got his way.

Boring unoriginal name. It proves the Oilers organization is not innovative or forward thinking at all.

I think the Barons would go over ok here, the B on jersey could be a nice compromise with fans who like the Blazer name. Here's a concept of a jersey, and it's NOT anything official.

Pretty sharp. I'd like to see those Oiler logos smaller though.

I'm sorry but I can't believe we even care this much, what the team in Oklahoma City is called and what they are wearing.....

Hell in my eyes they could be the Oklahoma City Fairies and where Pink & White jerseys, as long as the hockey they play helps improve their games; so they can move up to big team.

Someone on the local message board said that they are waiting on a jersey to be finished. And the person was told it could happen in about 2 weeks time.

No. To me it is very underwhelming and just plain Meh.

Aslo, are the Tulsa Oilers still around? This would explain part of this boring name.
