Should Joni come back.

Do you guys think that Hitchcock will put Pitkanen in after last nights game.
I dont think he should. I think he should play Kapenen on D and play Sharp it seemed like he played pretty good for his ice time.

I think Hitch should stick with what works and hope to get the same in Game 3.

Sami should stay on defense. He's much faster with the puck than Joni is and he isn't tentative on the ice either. I don't fault Joni for his play, he is a rookie that played 71 games for us this year. He isn't used to playing this long in a season. It's no slight to Joni, he will get his time in the future, that is certain.
Stay with the same game plan for Thursday. We got the last line change and that will be a big advantage being able to match up with the Bolts top lines. Only thing Torts can do is take the line off which is what he was doing last night. Hitch is just outcoaching Torts, like he did with Quinn and Burns.

Same game plan.

Yeah when things are going right, don't tinker with them.

Joni should sit out and try to take Fedoruk in the steak eating contests.

Read Kaps journals to know what I am talking about.

I agree too...and don't alter any of the lines they seemed to click well last night.

Kappy is a lot more noticeable and way more important as a defenceman than a forward. I kind of like seeing back there, hope it keeps up. He can easily be a candidate for Conn Smythe should we make it to the Big Dance!

A 60-ounce steak? That is pretty impressive. They don't call him "Fridge" for nothing! I ate a 42-ounce steak at Barnaby's once, mostly because my dad said I couldn't do it (and he was paying). I also wanted the T-shirt that said "I taclked the Monaghan steak at Barnaby's of America." Washed it down with a martini, as well. The waitress said I was the second person to finish it since she had worked there. 60 ounces. . . damn near 4 pounds. Wow.

I don't care who is in the line up as long as the Flyers win the ultimate prize. His name should go on the cup if we do win it all.

Well, logic says to go against Al Morganti, who said it was a bad idea to sit Pitkanen in game 2 and that TB would play it's best game of the postseason.

I wouldn't play him again unless we have to. He needs an offseason doing exactly what Jim McCrossin says as far as diet and excercise. As well as Carter, Richards, Eager and Ruzicka - to get a little more strength and toughness.

Whatever Hitch thinks will work the best, he should do. He isn't the best coach left in the playoffs (hell, in the playoffs period) for nothing. He changes the lineup, the team responds; whether it be flip floping Handzus and Primeau for a road game or putting Kapanen in for Pitkanen.

I think Joni should sit out the rest of this series probably... As long as he knows he's not being shamed or anything like that. A benching could beat up his confidence a little so I'd really hope that Hitch and the team would talk him through stuff and keep him in high spirits.

Especially since if there are any more injuries, he'll probably be called upon to play once again.

Part of the reason I think he will sit is the puck pressure from TB. Sami at this point is better able to handle that with this tempo at this stage in their career.
Against a SJ which plays a slightly less aggressive style I could see him get back in, but this is Hitch so unless they are desperate we may not see him again.
