It's not a question of faith anymore. Time to become a realist, bro.

My only interest in the playoffs -- if the Flyers actually make it -- will only be in a car-crash kind of way.

It's ok, you're allowed to be a realist AND diehard.

We have the same disposition on this season as the players do.

I think the fact that people are here *****ing about a team that, to be honest, hasn't played well enough to even deserve being *****ed about is proof of a die hard fan.

You just come off as a unrealistic apologist for the slop they put in front of you ever game.

Just saying.

TC, I get where you're coming from, I was feeling the same way before this game and before Backlund got injured. Now I could give less of a **** though. I have zero expectations come playoff time while Boosh is in net (that's as much a knock on Boosh as it is on the team in front of him since they just play like crap in front of him for whatever reason).

Being a blind optimist doesn't make you any more die hard than the rest of us, although I appreciate your enthusiasm.

There are many of us who are die hards that see the writing on the wall. And it sucks because we care, but we can't pretend someone is going to sprinkle fairy dust on this team and they'll magically make a run.

Yeah, they're not making the playoffs and feeling that way doesn't make you less of a fan. It makes you a realist and not a blind sheep. The current roster has about 15 guys who aren't worthy of the uniform.

If you really are a fan of the team, you should be angry, not supportive of these *******.

Looking at their schedule, it's real possible that they could finish 1-6.

Getting in the playoffs is a completely do-able thing, but that's not the point.

Say we get there, what are we going to do? Does anybody here really think we have a chance at the cup?

If they make it, do they really have a chance at winning two games?

I Backlund comes back in time for the playoffs, assuming he played like he did today, then I have faith in this team being able to beat teams like NJ, Buffalo, Ottawa, and Montreal. Carter and Backlund should both be coming back for the playoffs around when they start so I guess we'll just see what happens.

Even if they do make it, that's no longer good enough.

I'm usually one to say "everyone needs to calm down" when people are reaching for the panic button, but even I have little to zero faith in this team. I'm checking out. Abandon ship.

You have a little more patience when it's not March 28 yet.
