I'm pretty pumped up about this one! I think the MASSIVE (yes in this case I think Caps Lock is ok ) support for the germans in this game might give them a huge push.. I could see an upset here

I would LOVE to see Bishop get some icetime, but I doubt it happens, unless Clemmensen just completely sucks it up.

Here is to hoping for a TJ hatrick. Oshie or Galiardi. Either one.

Lets go Germany!

Have the German captains been announced yet?

Please tell me Marcel Goc has been named captain.

Mee too, as a fan with a black & white heart, I was stoked when I heard he was named to the team.

Leggio was instrumental in helping "my" team (TPS Turku) capture the Canada Bowl during their sensational cinderella run in the SM-liiga playoffs.

I also think that the USA team is the tournament dark horse this time around.

I'm thinking 4-2 final. Hoping 10-1 for USA (only because I have $$$ on the line )

Should be a god game.

What the...

Krupp cuts three players, Kreutzer, Fischer and Hördler. That leaves the team with 12 forwards, 7 defensemen and 3 goalies. One less than roster size. Why would you leave a spot open?

There is not a single good reason to dress only 19 instead of 20 players (not counting goalies).

I´m not even German and I find the poll question in this thread offensive. I´d thought that by now hfboards would have learned enough from upsets in both international and NHL hockey to not to do this. Show some respect to all the teams in the tourney please.

Maybe they are waiting for an injured player to come (Hecht, Schubert?) or someone from the NHL who's team has/will be eliminated?

I doubt it's Schubert. Him and Krupp don't seem to get along. Hecht maybe. Don't know what his status is right now.

The only ones still playing, since Seidenberg and Sturm are injured, are Ehrhoff and Greiss. He didn't leave a Goalie spot open so, I guess it could only be Ehrhoff he's waiting for.

None of the NHL-players, injured or not, could arrive in time for the games of the preliminary round.

They can add two players after the preliminary round, but there is no need to leave a space open until then.

Maybe they are looking to add three? There may be some people he really wants and is willing to wait for that are injured or in the NHL still, who knows.

Well it wouldn't be a big tournament with Krupp if us fans wouldn't be at a loss because of his actions at least once.

I wish he had kept Fischer on the roster. Even if he wouldn't play a lot of minutes it would have been a good experience for him.
