Small but very quick. Hard worker that can bring energy to any of lines. Would be alot more useful if he could just put the puck in the frekin net. As I said good 13th foward

To many of those

Anyways I still think Sergei has value. I would've done the same thing if I was him, our coach was treating him like **** so he basically said F off.

His value is close to what Grabo got

No he wont he will either trade him or let him walk. If you give him a QO it automatically allows SK to stay in the org. If Sergei signs in the KHL I could see Gauthier putting in a QO just to keep the asset

You know, given that he was told to stay the hell away from the team and anybody who cares to prevent his bad attitude from accidentally getting on them, I believe the word for him is "liability", not "asset".

I think he will be traded for another strugling prospect with less upside. No picks will be involved.

Montreal had the French connection, and now I'm hearing rumblings that Leaf nation is looking at putting together a Belarussian connection.

Imagine Grabo to SK74? Gotta admit the jerseys would sell. Give him 6 million for the next 2 years and he'll bag you 9/year guarenteed. Now Grabo would have a PIC on and off the ice. Imagine, they could be late to practice together or just get inhilated and arrested together.

Screw Sergei....

I think someone will take a chance on him. He will come real cheap too. I doubt the habs would make the qualifying offer which makes him a UFA. He signs for cheap on a team that is desparate for ofference....

That's only bad asset management if Sergei is an asset with value. If nobody else wants him, you risk him signing the QO and continuing to be a distraction. Letting him walk may be addition by subtraction.

Grabovski had 9p in 27 NHL games when Toronto gave up a 2nd round pick + Pateryn (5th round pick) for him. He was also a problem maker outside the rink.

Sergei has 68p in 155 NHL games and he also is one year younger than Grabovski when he was traded.

I'm not saying that Sergei will give us as much as Grabovski did, but it's not impossible that some team see his potential and give a decent offer.

At this point in time I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't qualified. Cry asset management all you want, but if the players (as reported) are sick of SK's attitude then giving him a QO would be sending the wrong message.

I think he'll probably land in the KHL. Dinamo Minsk seems like the most obvious option, but could end up on any of the high end teams.

The guy obviously has talent but when your team is making a playoff run can't you just shut up and be supportive? I think it's pretty clear he has to go away for awhile and get his head straight.

worst thing I've ever heard on this forum. no, no, no, no, no

Cogliano has a great work ethic, is still really young, wants to stay in Edmonton, has loads of talent, and has shown he can produce.

sk can go back to russia. I don't see any way an nhl team takes him. He is a cancer to locker rooms, has a bad attitude, is a coke head, no work ethic, arrogant, and generally has to turn his life around. No better place to do it then back home.

Or, put two problems together and watch them both fail...misery loves company.

Is Filatov really even in the same category as S. Kostitsyn? Filatov had problems with one coach during part of one season. SK has been a drama for going on a few years now.

Also, because this is HF.... Filatov's potential >>>> S Kostitsyn

At the draft day, Habs will try to get a 3rd round pick. I think someone can bet that for him.
