Ok yeah its not Finlands best game, but you have to give Denmark some credit here.

I mean Come on! Were not SUCH a bad Nation!!!

When they loose this game there is actually a very real possibility that team Finland faces the relegation round (with Germany winning the other night).

Who knows, maybe a year or two in the division I WC's would do some good. The Finns would get a chance to see what it feels like to score some goals, at least in theory that is.

Melody Gardot on SVT2. grrrrr

Anyways. Cheer up Finland! Don't let these Danish part-timers get you down.

My bet is that Finland will come out like a pack of blood thirsty wolves in the third. 5-3 in favour of the Finns.

A big difference here is that Finland does NOT launch a buttload of low-quality shots. More and more shots are from the circles and closer and some with really good time to snipe in a shot. Combination of finnish lack of scorer's hands and a hot goalie.

Three players I miss when I see this game (young Selänne excluded...) are

Jukka Hentunen - The best midfielder in international hockey in the 00s. Fantastic intensity level too.

Antti Miettinen - Skates like an idiot no matter what. Would make the game alot more intense. WOULD make alot of difference in a game like these.

Jarkko Ruutu - An expert at bringing up an entire teams intensity level.

This might also be the worst skating finnish national team ever.

i don't think denmark's defense is any different from the game versus sweden. but sweden took advantage by being better skaters while finland just stands around. there's no movement. they simply wait until the NHL danes get the puck and break away.
finland either starts skating or denmark takes this one moreless easily.

Come in and take a seat my friend

And this match, wow!!. I was watching Sevilla - Barcelona, I didn't give Denmark any chance so never thought about watching the game. I flipped the channel in the middle of the 2nd period, the refs had just taken a questionable penalty on Regin.

Denmark is doing a good job. Looking forward to the 3rd period, maybe the coach injected some "sisu" into the finnish team during the break.

There are fewer amazing skaters on team Finland than there usually are. I am not sure Finland can skate with the best danes. Which is a horrible thing for finnish hockey.

Not fast enough and not smart enough to break through the danish defense.

Maybe if Summanen were the coach.

Jussi Jokinen needs to show more of that. Biggest disappointment this far.

Watching Jori Lehtera skate One of the slowest skaters I've ever seen and I'm absolutely shocked if he ever plays in the NHL.

New first line looks alright.

Jokinen - Immonen - Aaltonen.

Some good chances.

It sure looks better... Finland is trying to gear up. But not many really dangerous shots.
