One goal is all that is needed.

Worry about the second goal afterwards.

There is still another game to be played anyway

Yeah, Habs have had several serious scoring chances. No finish so far.

they have competed. The Habs have very limited talent on offense, especially when you factor in AKost's 1 out of 5 good games and Pouliot's lack of confidence atm.

They missed a couple of golden chances and that's it. If they don't bury them they won't win games since they get like 20-25 shots.

If it was not for some very good saves by Fleury it could be a tie game. We have played quite well tonight. Shots are 19-18 for Pitts but i would not be shocked if we have had the better scoring chances.

AK46 was just about the habs best forward for the first half of the game, then lose a stick battle against Malkin I believe and good ol' Jacko benches him for half of the second and put Moen on the 2nd line.. Unbelievable... while other players keep adding up turnovers, they all have unlimited chances but Andre has none, he is playing with a gun to his head... not the way you'll get the best of him..

If the Pens go through, seeing how they're playing, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bruins beating them. They have a great young goalie, our Gill is their Chara, they don't have the firepower we have up front, yet there are some clutch performers for the Bruins in Satan and Reechi and Fleury isn't god. Crosby is non-existant. And their physical play won't be a problem for the Bruins to handle.

I hate the Bruins like most people here do.....but if that's the matchup, I'm hoping the Bruins beat their ass.

In the meantime, let's make it a Bruins-Habs matchup should we?

P.S. I started to talk like the next series before the Habs-Caps 5th game and it worked perfectly....just trying to work my magic again...

Habs played well but were not opportunistic in the first two periods. We need to put them in whenever we have chances in the 3rd, and that's that.

Anybody see when they showed Markov and Spacek earlier in the game and the cbc announcer said they were fitting Markov with a brace and we might see him in action as early as Monday night? Wouldn't that be awesome!

Great to have the Jets back...Habs look game but under-manned up front. Agreed: AK is an offensive force when he's unleashed. Unleash him.

Sorry but contrary to his shutout, I believe that we're shooting on him tonight and we are missing wide open opportunities that he had no chance on.

well from reading these boards i would guess the score was 8-1 pens...were playing pretty good just not finishing. Score could be easily 2-2

Habs are just not keeping control of the puck enough to generate any offence. Maintain control, make smart passes and the opportunities will come. If they keep just throwing the puck away the game is as good as over.

Pitts defensemen can do a lot of things without any penalties
